It always amazes me how people are not interested in such raw talent. They just walk by. I would stay there, my jaw dropped on the floor, even if I didn't know they were Rodrigo Y Gabriela!

Its not just Paris. Its almost always the case and with multiple different bands alblogtheque shoost. I think its has everything to do with what we don't see. Which in this case is multiple cameras and a sound guy. People see that and I think for the most part are totally respectful and don't want to interrupt the filming process.

YES! Cannot believe there's a takeaway show with rodrigo y gabriela. Legendary performers filmed by legendary filmmakers brilliant!
Reminds me of the time there was a professional violinist from a top orchestra playing in the London underground... I think it was the full set piece of a show that would cost a lot of money to see and barely anyone stopped to listen... There was one little child who stopped and tried to stop her mother, only to get told off and pulled away... Crying shame really. Doesn't matter the style of music, people should always have a moment to respect good music of any genre.
The best things in life are free. Most of us don't realize that. Clapping alone in my room.

100 years after this performance I found this. I immediately recognized the ignorance level what makes me look in the background. Hell, I at least expected some applause. I did this right 2 min ago standing. What happend to the people? I am shocked.
I guess public there dont have a clue how great these musos are.

Everytime we wonder how we would act if in a situation like this. And in the moment we don't do a thing. Like we don't notice how our lives pass by without noticing. That's why maybe people didn't clap. BUT, maybe life for them in that moment was the chat they were having, the ingredients they were buying for the dinner, cooking, etc
Saw them live in Charlotte NC last year, they were fucking awesome and afterward stayed until everyone who wanted one had a pic or autograph. You don't see it as obviously in the videos, but in person Gabi is drop dead gorgeous.
No one clapped or acknowledged how amazing that was if I was there I would have been kneeling in benediction

What is wrong with those people? I can only speak for me but when I am exposed to such virtuosity I cannot proceed eating and have to move and cheer. My eyes are getting wet immedkately and I am somewhere else in time and space hoping it will never stop. They even keep looking to their smartphones. How weired is that. No applause. Not because of the music. Because of the ignorance this is by far the most devastating music video I ever saw. At least 3 or 4 out of ten people exposed to this I'd expect to cheer, move and applaude. Rodrigo, Gabriela, those morons do not deserve a single note of yours. I am so sad at the moment. It hurts me where I even did not know something exists. I cheer for 20 and will exactly now applaude for you. From the very bottom of my heart and my love to music. I am really crying now. ❤

People will tend to only enjoy the live music if they're paying for it and not when they're getting it for free. Although this could be recorded during the weekday, in which is somewhat understanding for them not listening.

Camera? You need to realize the things you see on TV and the internet aren't real. You'll never know how people would react if they just sat down and played somewhere because (1) there would not be a camera taping it, and (2) they wouldn't be doing it because of (1).
