    Doubt too big. Otherwise the skin of the vessel would have to be very thick to hold the weight of enough water to make an impact on a fire.

    I think that when this product it perfected we will be able to package in it anything! Such as shampoo, conditioner, hand soap etc. I wonder if that would be possible because of the reactions taking place.. Imagine having this little cute bowl in your shower and picking up an ooho full of shampoo and just wash your hair that way! It would be so amazing and beautiful!

    Future problem is endangered seaweed. We will deplete the oceans supply in 20 years and they will be crying again claiming we have to go to water filled pigs intestines or something. Let's see the study of the effect on the oceans seaweed which is a huge plant that our fish and other sea life use to survive. They also filter our oceans. So now let's distroy the oceans seaweed supply for profit. SMFH. Clean up our plastic filled ocean and go back to glass which caused zero problems. Infact the fish and sea urchins made homes out if it.

  • @OriginalPuro

    @OriginalPuro

    Yes, it is needed, by 2050 the amount of plastic in the ocean will outnumber the amount of fish, if you think everyone will carry a bottle around you're naive, people are consumerists and they purchase and throw away, that's why there is a problem of plastic in the first place! Damn I wish more people just .. got it.

  • @marcosdiogenes9380

    @marcosdiogenes9380

    PuroYO I just wish it was a better solution. This seems Impossible to carry around without the risk of it bursting and getting everything wet. That's why bottles exist in the first place. I just can't see this as a smart solution to our filthy garbage problem. We could reduce this drastically by buying a galon to wash and refill everyday.

    nice work guys... any chance to make this material in a hard shell? I think my biggest constraint is how hard it would be to drink a lot of water from these... if you had a hard shell biodegradable bottle you may not want to eat it but you could make it much bigger (like the size of plastic bottles) and then I think this could become mainstream

    Some of this guys stats are incorrect...when you buy a bottle of water the cost isn't 90% for the bottle...its the cost of shipping weight usually on trucks & boats burning gas. Another thing to consider especially during a time of pandemic is this recipe has been known for many years and hasn't been utilized on mass scale by the corporate giants who are already in the beverage sector of the market because of health risks. In its current state this is a novelty and not a replacement for plastic bottles.People should simply reuse and reduce use of plastic containers instead of buying into an unnecessary gimmick.

    Here's an idea: reusable water bottles. Oh wait, they already exist, and aren't just an impractical gimmick.

    in the long run, the chemicals in the plastics get leached into the water which can be detrimental to health especially when the plastic's exposed to heat

    Here's the problem. I don't know the science, but I assume some, if not most drinks that aren't water would erode the inside. For example coke. I wouldn't want to carry one of these things around in a pocket or in a backpack. The seem easy to pop. Which would make them incredibly difficult to transport. They don't look like they can sit in the sun or withstand heat for very long, much like bottles have to when being transported across the world. The benefits of having bottles is they aren't very fragile. And my last point, how much energy and water will you be wasting to produce massive amounts of seaweed and other materials? It may be cheaper now, when it's small scale, but I imagine if this was adopted by the industry, the amount of waste would be ridiculous on a large scale. This probably isn't the answer, but it's certainly adding to the conversation. Ooho's are just to fragile, and the don't have long shelf lives to replace bottles. It could potentially cost more than bottles because of the constant need to replace them when they go bad.

    You're stuck in the past, plastic bottles is a bad thing, by 2050 the amount of plastic in the ocean will outnumber the amount of fish, come on, stop trying to push something which is simply negative to nature, the only thing humans actually need.

    We agree on the same things. I'm simply bringing up issues with this concept. We desperately need a replacement for plastic bottles. I see more issues with this product than I see answers. There's still so much we don't know about this thing. Refer back to my original comment to see all the things we need to overcome with this thing to overcome bottles.

    we have them, but they are currently more expensive to produce than traditional plastic bottles. So we are currently still mostly using old plastic technology. We need to get those costs down.
