I've downloaded and launched the latest software. I open the app, but the pads are greyed out so that I can't drag SFX over. Any thoughts on what I'm doing wrong?

    Hi, thank you for the video, it's a good tutorial, I am new and would like to know 2 things, 1-first is it possible to record straight away from the Rodecaster as a sound? I mean I would like to record straight away video and audio, but if I only do audio like in this video I might have some issues as video and Audio won't be aligned together 2- Do you know how could I do a different voice ( for example I want to do roleplay, and do robot voice, kid voice, woman voice... is it possible with the rodecaster ?) Thank you

    I have garageband. When I try to edit my file from the Rodecaster Pro, do I need to be concerned about the EQ settings in Garageband? I noted various compression settings and controls in Garageband that might affect the sound. I want to preserve the audio choices from the Rodecaster Pro. You didn't seem to adjust anything when you dropped the file into Audacity.

  • @podwhale

    Thanks for the comment, it's a lot to get into but I think you have given me a lot of ideas for future videos. I didn't adjust anything, this was just the basics of getting up and running. The Rodecaster is set up with some presets that allow you to get away with minimal post production.

    There's a hissing sound on tour audio during the silence. I would've thought the RCP would help alleviate that issue. It's not a sound that would've bothered be before researching audio equipment but now it'sjust annoying. Great review otherwise though.

  • @fotoeikenburg

    Just a tip: don’t add background music if you are teaching your audience what you want them to learn. It doesn’t add any value, on the contrary, it is distracting and annoying. If you do want backgroundmusic in your video nevertheless, adjust the volume to minus 20 or minus 25 dB. So it is background and not quite heard as if the listener doesn’t know what to listen to. Either you or the music...

    What’s the difference in using an SD card versus just recording straight to garage band?

  • @podwhale

    @podwhale

    3 жыл бұрын

    it depends, if you are doing multitrack to the sd card, the only difference is you need to transfer it first. I think another difference is the way the gain settings work. I don't think the faders do anything if you record direct to GB
