Hello I have a question. I'm trying to get an effect on more channels at the same time. I saw how you do that by selecting them in the effects setting. However, for me he selected them one by one and I cannot check multiple duplicates. Do you know how I can solve that?

Is it possible to enable two effects at the same time to the desired channel/channels. For instance, if i were to perform during a live stream with a friend accompanying me with a guitar, and had to add reverb and delay to my channel, and to the stereo mic setup for his guitar, would that be possible ? If so, would I also be able to use these effects according to preference? Lets say, 20% reverb and 5% delay on the vocal channel, and 40% reverb and 10% delay on the stereo channels

Been seeking an alternative to the Go XLR since it’s not Mac friendly. This was very informative. Thank you!

I got bot the GoXLR and the Rodecaster PRO 2, but I really miss the effects on the GoXLR where you could record your friends voice on discord and instantly play them back to them, like a instant soundboard, it was super fun, it does not seem to work with the RCP2, but maybe if you also buy a streamdeck and use it with midi-controls? I am not sure tho.

Thanks to for the video, Is it possible to assign for example two different sounds on two different smart pads and "Fade in-out" between these two pads?

That's done using streaming software like Ecamm, vMix, OBS, etc.

Hey bro, thanks for your videos. I just got mine setup last night. Any idea why I don't hear the sound effects? Should they work by default? I hear my mic and that works great but I am not hearing the sound effects. THANKS!

Thanks. When I make a recording, like an intro with music triggered from a pad and me speaking, and export it so I can add it back into a single pad, the pad volume is always lower than when I play the recording back on the device. Should I be adding loudness when I export? Otherwise, I have to use Audacity to add loudness before I import into a pad. Thoughts?

It depends on your setup - for example if you are using a streaming/recording tool like Ecamm/OBS/vMix/etc., you can adjust from there. Or you could try adding it to the RCP at a higher volume to see if that gets closer to what you want.

@@LiveStreamingPros … I’m wondering why it happens as well. It seems the RCP doesn’t record at the same level as it seems. I have gain and levels all “correct.” When playing back files on the device - they sound great. And when I import them back into pads - too quiet. Odd.

So I'm having issues getting my sounds to come through my mic on their own. Some do while others don't. It seemed to be a volume issue (meaning i had to have it screaming in my ear just so others could hear it). Also would like to know if i can make "censor bleep" work even when I'm not talking want it to come through chat regardless if I'm talking or not. This is my first mixer and definitely have a lot to learn.

i have a question. idk if it was an update i did, but before the smart pads used to let me edit who i wanted to have voice changers. i had them for all mics. and now, when i go to edit, it doesnt let me highlight all 4 mics. just one. and when i click on either one, it gives that mic ONLY. idk how to fix it to where it lets me highlight them all. Any idea what it might be??

Hello! I recently got my rosecaster pro 2 however my sound effects on page one doesn’t work but the voice effects on page 2 work. Don’t have any advice ?

Here are some things to check: Check connections - Make sure headphones and microphones are connected to the correct input/output areas on the back of the RCP2. Check volume - Ensure the volume is turned up for the corresponding headphone in the volume levels at the top right of the device. Try custom routing - Unlink everything and turn things on one by one, starting with the soundpad. If the RCP2 doesn't catch the audio, it may not be sending it to the correct channel. Factory reset - Some users have reported that a factory reset from the Rode Connect app fixed the issue. Set up a new profile - This will pre-populate the first two pages with default sounds and effects, and allow you to upload sounds. Check Haptics settings - Go into RODE Central or ondevice, select Device Configuration, then Haptics, and change to No Haptic Feedback. Restart - If you've tried adding an incompatible file, restart your RCP2 and Rode Central before trying again with a compatible file Update software - check to see if you might have missed an update

Anyone else having a severe issue when you try to create personalized effects where when you save a button from the console it disconfigures another one? This is driving me mad, would appreciate some help. :( I have a Rodecaster Duo, firmware is up to date. Also, when I try to create effects from the Rode Central it does not apply them for some reason.

hello , i just got my rode procatser 2 and iam trying to play smartpads in discord but my buddies hear it to load and not so good quality , and when i decrease it they dont hear it at all? whats wrong :(

When creating new FX for the smartpad i cannot choose all four microphones. I can only choose one microphone for each FX. That means p.e. that for a pitch voice that i want on mic 1 and 2 at the same time i have to save two FX. I read here before that this is a change that has beend made with the latest firmware update. Is that so? Can you comment on that topic?

Unfortunately, my smart pads will not let me enable Channel 1 and 2 at the same time. I am using Shure SM7B microphones. Is there something I am doing wrong or a setting to change on the microphone channel?

I spoke with Rode and it changed with the latest firmware update. So you have to create effects buttons on page 3 for each microphone.

I have been trying to record soundbites to my Smartpads from KZread and music I own, but all my soundbites sound low, flat, and with an echo. When I record them, they don’t have the squiggly lines on the screen, and the playback sounds terrible. By any chance am I doing something wrong, or did I miss a step?

some sounds on the sound pads (such as the pre-installed chimes) sound warbled when going through something like a Streamyard recording (they sound perfect otherwise). I can't figure out why. Any suggestions?

I have an issue related to the smart pad on the Rodecaster pro 2, I have added a poem on that pad that I will need to use from time to time on my podcast, however after I recorded that into my adobe Audition on my desktop, and then play it back the sound was bouncing up an down as if there is an effect running in the background (e.g. Noise gate) although it's not the case, why is that happening, does it have to do with the signal/sound rate on both the RCP and Audition or what?

I would just record it directly through the RCP

I can't hear the smart pad effect on my live stream... The caster is fresh out the box, haven't touched any settings... Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

The one thing it doesn't cover is how to take sound files and use rode central to copy them over to the sound pads. Something that...seems not to work...dont know if it is the file format or what.

OMG whys doesn't anyone show me how's to load songs And commercials on the sound pad... I've produced my show for the last year with sound pads, bed music, drops and commercials on the RCP2, but after the a factory reset 4 months ago I haven't loaded anything.... I just bot my duo for the home studio and I loaded sounds and have spent 2 hours troubleshooting mp3 music for sound pads on the Duo.. BUT NOTHING PLAYS!?!? HOW Do I add the music to the duo Soundpads..? The tracks are there and yet nothing plays when I hit them? What is wrong? HELP!!

I'm having the same exact issue I wish I could get an answer as to why my sound pads keep on shutting off on me

I’m Disappointed the loop doesn’t do a true loop… there is a slight pause before starting the sample again
