great video, but I couldn't get the "red/section 4" till I changed my mode. I understand that so many of these how to videos forget to specify which mode (manual, auto A...) So if I change the mode back to A, will it effect the sound set at manual?

How would you rate the directionality of the microphones pick up field? I might have to record a wedding from a static position and it would be nice to have a microphone that I could just point at a relatively close distance. Thanks so much!

Hi! Thank you for your question. I was using a lapel mic, the rode wireless go system.

Great video Nicole. I have just recently purchased this mic for my 5D IV and Im hopefully going to shoot some footage with it this evening at Slains Castle near Peterhead in Scotland for my first ever KZread video. This was really great to understand the settings that I should be utilising. Thanks so much!!!

How is the battery life shooting 4k Video? I'm debating using mkIV for a 3 hour concert. Any advice?

Hi! From what Rode information provide the batter supplied will last 2 hours, however what's great is that you can sub 2 AA batteries in the slot and keep the recording going. I hope this helps. Have a great shoot.

I'm wearing AirPods Max and only heard out of the left side and also heard background noise the entire time. Not sure what you did wrong here but just fyi

Hey any tip? I can’t find “sound recording” My option 4 shows only: interval timer, bulb timer, anti flicker shoot, mirror back up

thanks but there is no sound recording at this tab just interval timer , anti flicker shoot and mirror backup , that's it it's a mark IV like yours , i don't understand what's going on here thanks for the video though

Hi Nicole, thank you for your very nice and clear video. I am just starting to have a video. That is taken in a church while the priest is having his speech. What is the set up you would use? I would be most grateful for your instruction as I cannot test it beforehand :)

I would suggest asking them if they could meet before everyone arrives so you can setup your camera and test the audio. That is what typically happens on any job so they should be open to it. Another suggestion is to buy headphones so you can plug it into the camera directly and hear the audio and adjust. You will be able to tell if you are too close or too far. Another suggestion I have is to have the priest mic with a Rode Wireless Mic System. The audio will be MUCH better. Let me know if you have additional questions.

Thank you very much. We actually had the plan to call them in order to get opportunity to go and test. Thank you for the suggestion, we need to consider the options.
