Rodding and clearing blocked drains

Clearing blocked drains from manholes usually requires the use of a set of drain rods. The rods beng used here are the set from Faithfull tools. A very reliablerod but it must always be remembered that when rodding drains always twist the rodsin a clockwise direction or the threads between them will come undone and make the blockage 10 times worse. you know what sucks though.. a sink blockage at 10:30pm, nothing open to buy any remedies, work in the morning, and the other half furious of the situation and nothing that can be done until i get home at 5pm tomorrow nite 😖

I have a small question, is there a way to attach a small object on the upper inside wall of the pipe (crown), does drain rod with a led camera can help attaching the object in the exact place.
What is the difference between rods and a snake?

A rodding snale is a coiled steel rod and has no joints. Drain rods have a joint to dismantle them as in the video.

Thank you for the prompt response. However, I meant to ask if there is a difference / advantage in using the rods versus the snake? I realize the snake essentially is one piece and the rods connect in sections, but I'm wondering when you would use one or the other (advantages, etc.)?
2 suggestions- pick a louder street and make the video much longer and show even less! cheers!
