After abandoning his post, a Kamikaze pilot named Koichi is haunted by both his dishonor and what the locals of Odo Island call godzilla. The war is over now, but Japan faces a new threat; a Kaiju known as godzilla.
godzilla Minus One had a different approach to this monster than Hollywood's current rendition. Instead of focusing on monster spectacle, they focused more on characters and their grief and anguish going up against godzilla.
Everything came together nicely to give the audience a perfectly balanced, rich story-telling and monster mayhem movie that was well-executed and loved by many. I especially loved how the dialogue was presented, alongside each scene being related to the story.
