Saw him in concert a couple time's in the eighties, in one concert he kicked like 30 soccer ball's into the audience and folk's had them bouncing all over the Greensboro, NC coliseum.... Good time's......❤

LoneMaquis sorry the bass player in this performance was new bass player Jay Davis. Phil unfortunately was fired before this. Too bad. Phil did play bass on the studio track.

The audio from this performance was CLEARLY NOT performed "live", but may have been pre-recorded & used as an audio "backdrop" to his many "live" TV performances during his '81 tour. Notice how many times he "tries" to turn from the camera, 'cause he's realizing he just CAN'T keep in sync with what he's hearing from the soundstage P.A. System, especially during all the ad-libs near the end of the song!!!

It's due to the age and quality of the video that makes it seem like he's lip-syncing. It's pretty common for that to happen, actually. Just look at any old TV show, movie, or, yes, even an old music video, and you'll see that their mouths and what you hear almost never match up. It's not because their lip-syncing, but just because of how the recording equipment worked back then.

Can Rod lipsync any worse than this? LOL
