Amen! Even though I was only 3 when the 80th's ended I grew up with this music because my parents loved the 80th's - and so do I.

This song was No. 1 when I was 10 yrs old during the hot summer of 1983. I was on hoildays in Banna Strand, Kerry with my family, it brings back so many happy memories...played it on the jukebox every day!

still can´t get enough of this song after all these years

NOT a rod stewart fan, neverless, this is one of the greatest songs of the 80's

This is one heack of a song & a classic & one of His best ! By far !! Came out in 1983 ! That was a great yr for music & lots of good movies as well ! I’m glad I was around back then ! I was in My teens during the eighties ! What a good decade !

I really got back into 80s music a few months ago through Phil Collins (Paperlate!!) and somehow this song popped back from my memory. These are songs I heard on the radio when I was only 10 years old, and, being Dutch, obviously didn't understand the lyrics. Now, hearing these songs again, they are a great mix of recollection and new appreciation. It's really amazing how productive this era was in creating great and unforgettable songs.

80s were blessed by nature. People were simple. There were a good job for those who wanted to get it and people enjoy music differently.

God I remember this song as if it were yesterdaaaaaaay... The big clock radio on our veranda, hot and hazy Summer of '83, I was 10 years old, riding up and down the sidewalk infront of our house on my banana seat bike, singing very loud along with this song...my wooden clogs, my short short terry cloth shorts, my halter top, my big bouncy fro...LOL, another song that was being over played alongside this one was Elton Jon's Empty Garden,,,,those were the days....

At first I thought his voice was a little bit grating and annoying but he grew on me I love this song because it's part hard rock and part New Wave and in some ways he's look like another British rocker and that would be John Waite plus he sounds like him too
