Hey guys, wanted to say thanks again for these videos. I've been following along with my mhx kit I got from mudhole. Right now my grip/reelseat/butt cap are curing while I'm at work. Going to tackle the guide layout when I get home. I can't wait for the finished product 🤘🏼 thank you tremendously for all the information you have given to us all. How long do u wait to put the but cap on? I just started my first build , my reel seat shows the blank thru the bottom so It's a snug fit , only needed a very small arbor and it's all ready to go .. just wondering if I need to wait to glue rod butt

There is no reason to wait to glue the but cap on unless you're waiting to balance it or you're going to put some finish on the butt grip and install the cap later.

Planning to build my first rod. Do you measure blank dia before purchasing the seat or just build an arbor if it’s to much slob?

Depends on the blank. If it is an MB heavy or XHeavy then I would measure before buying because some reel seats will not fit on blanks that large in diameter.
