That ending was so real man. Literally brought me to tears. Thank you, this franchise deserves this type of educated analysis.

His take on what the movie is doing and how it unravels by using personification and other great story telling techniques. A+

Thanks. Well, it's a small channel and therefore doesn't get much traffic. I also don't do too much to get more views. Feel free to recommend it if you know people who like the Rocky movies.

This is the most beautiful character analysis I have heard in a very long time. This is teachable, and if I can use it in the classroom, I will. Great job!!!!

That is very nice of you to say. Thank you very much. That is the best compliment that an analysis can get. I never even thought of my analysis as material for a classroom. I wish I could see that, and if you use my analysis in class, I hope that they will enjoy analysing the movie.

@@malafakka8530 It is definitely teachable material. I don't teach film, but I'm the kind of teacher who will find a way to use it somehow. It is strategically, PATIENTLY presented. Great job again.

Thanks. That was definitely my intention because I sometimes got the impression that people remember all Rocky movies as being more or less like Rocky 3 & 4, which absolutely isn't the case.

I always got the impression rocky once really cared, but nobody else did. He picked up on that and gave up on himself when nobody else around him invested in him until the Apollo fight

Most of us in america are rocky a lack of determination and a lack of chances that's why we all.love the underdog theres alot of people that tell us stop drinking stop smoking stop the job you're bad at but at the end of the day those people wont give us the chance because of those things. Maybe we would stop if yall gave is a chance on real life In America you only maybe get 2 chances to be great and most of us choose the easy route the job you start at 17 that treats the you well the collage degree that you go into debt for just to work for another person. But hey that's why we love rocky he works hard and has heart and gets lucky

Well said..He has an out. He has a way to fight..literally by fighting. As he said in 4 when Adrian says “A lot of people live with hurt” and he says “A lot of people don’t have a choice, Adrian..I do” meaning that he recognizes that there are plenty of people that wish they could fight..they just have no outlet. They are at some dead end job or have nothing.

What I really like about this movie is how the element of "self-affirmation" is not only apparent in Rocky, but other character's as well. Even his wife screams to her brother, who failed in proving himself of being the man for Rocky's previous job, that she's not a loser. Pride is definitely no stranger to this movie (as if Apollo Creed doesn't prove it enough).
