Munny, That's deep that you would quote John 3:16 onward as just prior to reading these 3 comments I was saying to myself that many BBoys were obscure from the public eye because they had histories, lifestyles that didn't go well with the spotlight so they played the back, weren't too keen to be on camera but there was hella talent out there back in the day. I personally never abandoned the craft & it's 4ever on my mind, blending aspects of BBoying/Uprocking/Popping&Locking etc with martial arts techniques for my own personal needs. Man that Bible quote was like right on time with what I was just thinking to myself.

Definitely an Olympic event, but the only problem is that it would get too political. If the winning "purse" was too much, it would become too commercial (which happened in the 80s/90s). Artists still need to get paid for their work. BBoys are world class hustlers sacrificing their bodies to get the job done.

For people that don't know, the feeling of being part of a crew and battling with a strong DJ and crowed, there's nothing like it. No what your skill level. I'm an 80's bboy aged 53 and watching this has got me top-rocking in front of my lady in the living room. Oh god I miss those days. Peace. Bboy Mass Dynamite Soles UK.

I'm a native NEW YORKER born & raised in the early 70's. I've seen this battle video a couple of times & just shake my head. This CREW was no way SKILLED enough to battle ROCKSTEADY. They looked sloppy in their appearance & the way they danced. ROCKSTEADY on the other hand came out out with no FEAR & were NOT second guessing their moves.

I started bboying in 1982 in the Uk & carried on for 34 years, & I'm shaking my head at your comments. The way a person gets better skilled is to test themselves against people of a higher skill level. We battled people with better skills until we matched them or crushed them. Would you battle the same crew week in week out if you wanted to get to a higher level? No. Anybody, who is a true bboy would never make such comments putting down a crew for battling a crew that is on a higher level. Bboys grew by testing themselves against better people.
