I love Plant Man's theme in this version, it makes it sound peaceful and magical.

It is a shame that not all players know where that Energy Balancer is; Tomahawk Man's stage is the only place you can find it.

I love that some of the music used is from Power Fighters.

I remember that in the megaman anniversary collection, of all the games this one did not have the arranged soundtrack

Actually? But Forgotten Area’s theme in this version is one of my favourite songs in Mega Man (I haven’t played complete works or anniversary collection but I’ve heard that theme plenty)

I find it weird that the NES loading seam was still present in these. I wouldn’t expect it to be present in a port running natively off PS1 hardware, especially since other NES limitations like the sprite flicker in the second game were totally eliminated.

I guess the general idea for these ports was to eliminate all the NES slowdowns and sprite flickers, as well as provide as much new and hidden content as possible for you to unlock, and prolong the experience further. for example, the new upgrade parts that Rockman can equip to make him run faster or jump higher, and the artwork gallery and enemy database, and the various difficulty modes and time attack stuff too. :3

VixyNyan One of these days I really need to just import copies of the Complete Works. When I bought the PS2 Anniversary Collection I thought I was getting all the features from RMCW, but I was way wrong!

In all honesty, I really like how Mr X is handled in the Archie Comics.

Would be so cool to be able to play this collection. Why'd only they get this? The remixed music for these megaman games are so good. Japan is so lucky to have such a great collection like this.

+NewController01 Highlight "Navi Mode" in either Rockman 4, 5 or 6. Then before you choose it, hold down R2 on the controller and choose "Navi Mode". It's only for cosmetic effect, but cool nonetheless~ :3

the "!" implies that a supporting character like example Dr Light, Roll and others are trying to send you a message with hints and tips of the current area you are in. You press Select on the controller to bring up the message. As for the blue icons at the top, in Navi Mode that is currently being played, you can equip various parts that enhances Rockman's abilities a little bit. You have to defeat a certain amount of enemies and collect battle data throughout the game to permanently unlock these parts. These are the parts you can unlock. Hyper Jump (20 battle data) This makes Rockman jump super high. Auto Charge (40 battle data) Rockman's buster charges up automatically. Energy Saver (80 battle data) The energy of weapons is doubled. Hyper Shot (160 battle data) Rockman's standard shots are faster. Hyper Charge Shot (320 battle data) Rockman's charged shot is faster. Power Shot (640 battle data) Rockman's shots deals more damage. Hyper Charge (1000 battle data) Rockman can charge his buster insanely fast. Speed Up (2000 battle data) Rockman's movement speed is doubled, thus he runs faster.

Official release in Japan only, the year 1999 on Playstation 1. There's 6 of these games (Rockman 1 through 6), and they have various kinds of features and options, as well as arranged music. These were also re-released on the PS3/PSP/PS Vita digital shop as well.

Why no helmet in this version?

When you are in the Main Menu, you can choose Navi Mode (ナビモード, 2nd option), hold R2 button while press Circle or Start, you will be able to remove the helmet, but only for cosmetic purpose and not real benefits. I did this because there are many videos on youtube that do not show this feature, so I decided to remove the helmet so people can see what it looks like.
