As a director myself, I completely concur that the first introduction and first few minutes of an audition, we know if u can make it or not. And I’m saying that with much less experience, training, and talent than this director. I’ve never met a director who hasn’t felt the same way. That’s why it is ESSENTIAL to practice EVERY second of an audition-from entrance to exit. I tell my actors once u leave ur house be in “audition mode.” Make it second nature.

Well one thing to remember about the show is that the choreographers themselves are a big part of it. Yes the Rockettes are the main part of the Christmas Spectacular but, all of those iconic dance numbers…..wouldn’t be possible without those choreographers. So it’s also important to showcase the choreographers behind the dances to give them credit for creating those dances, and making them even more amazing.

This video is evidence of artistic theft. BEFORE performers are allowed to audition at RCMH, they are required to sign away - without any compensation - even if not hired - all usage rights to the video of the audition, globally and perpetuity. It's interesting that another comment, shortly ahead of this one, asked "when will the next episode come out?" Could be anytime soon. RCHM has acquired, free of cost, the rights to exploit the work and performance at these auditions by all talented artists, most of whom have spent tens of thousands of dollars a years of perfecting their craft - free of charge. How do I know this with such certainty? Unlike most of the job applicants auditioning at RCMH, I have 70 years of experience in business. I actually read and understand legal documents, including those handed out at auditions. When I was invited to audition for the role of Santa at their holiday show, I was given a release that was quite specific that I was giving them, without any compensation, the right to use a video of my audition in anyway they wished. It specified they edit and change my audition and use the materials from job application for commercial purpose, even if I was not hired. I told them exactly what I thought of their greedy exploitive crap and walked out. I have a satisfying career as a Santa and as an actor on stage, film, videos and commercials. I'm not giving up anything (especially my pride) to work for people who would do that to other performers. I am not all surprised to see them exploiting these vulnerable artists. Yes, indeed, When will the next episode be published - and on what television network - complete with commercials that earn RCMH cost hundreds of thousand of dollars per showing? Shame on you greedy, exploitive Radio City Music Hall.
@Woahwhoisthis712
Жыл бұрын
Geez. There is nothing wrong with what these people are doing. As you said, the contract gives them access to this video, so if the dancers didn’t want this to happen, they didn’t have to sign it.
@JoeHarkinsHimself
Жыл бұрын
I suspect you do not understand why this is outrageous exploitation. RCMH is forcing JOB APPLICANTS to make audition videos that RCMH can repackage and sell without paying the job applicant. Worst of all, they are requiring that the job applicants sign away all rights to have any say in how the video is edited, repackaged and sold. The humiliating auditions for America's Got Talent are an excellent example of what RCMH is now legally allowed to do with the videos of their job applicants.

No it wouldn’t. Long lean legs are a must for kick line, and if these ladies aren’t athletic they will never have the stamina for multiple shows per day. Get real.

I’m noticing lots of masks; was this from last year?
The whole video is about people talking and warming up, - no actual dancing, so it's not interesting. From the shown moments the level of the participants is around school musical (which is not true?)

Geez. There is nothing wrong with what these people are doing. As you said, the contract gives them access to this video, so if the dancers didn’t want this to happen, they didn’t have to sign it.

The humiliating auditions for America's Got Talent are an excellent example of what RCMH is now legally allowed to do with the videos of their job applicants.
its time they accept men in the line up.

If the one judge is sick she should NOT be on that panel. She looks rediculous wearing a dust mask.
Hope all the episodes are not like this,,, so boring
What’s with the masks? Bizarre
Look at the crazy woke coach/judge with her mask on🤪
