Dude rocket league IS CAREER MODE. It's not like Madden where it's a video game based on a sport-- rocket league IS THE SPORT. It's not that there is no career mode, you're just playing the multiplayer version of exhibition instead of season mode. If you play ranked, I hope you take it seriously....

This is by far the best content I've seen all year, possibly my life. Ranked randoms even in GC say "it's just a game", but for some of us, myself included, we've spent thousands of hours repeating the same shots, damaging muscles in our hands, sacrificing time with friends, not playing other games, and then going into ranked and being called trash Agonizing over whether our painstaking efforts will bear fruit, whether we should carry on or leave the pitch for good This video perfectly represents the reason we stay on his painful grind-- why for us, it's not just a game. 0 seconds, taking the ball of the wall, turning the car upside down, getting the reset, claiming our victory. 1:56 In my opinion the Octane crash would’ve made more sense if he was on the defensive side then having the Fennec come in for the “demo” leaving the goal open thus making them losing the game and would’ve made it more anticlimactic. Then the “father training daughter” scene would’ve made her have more motivation to winning the match whereas her father did not or something emotional lol. Other than that, it is beautifully written and the animation is flawless. Great work! 😁😃

Guys, imagine 20-30 years from now. Some kid asks you what's rocket League? The flood of emotion will be intense. All those saves, aerial's and funny own goals come flying at you at light speed. Imagine the kids face when you show them a video. I hope this game never dies, the ONLY game I've been able to play almost everyday for years. THIS IS ROCKET LEAGUE!

This better be the pilot episode of the RL anime series I've been hearing about for years. It practically writes itself.

Awesome! I've already said it on FluuMPs channel, but i love how touching this story is, even without words (except for Liefx casting the match) Very Emotional, great editing, music selection, idk how much is meant by sound design, but well done there too.

I really don't know how, but I actaully shed some tears when the flip reset happened. This is just a beautifull piece of art with an amazing story behind it! Everyone in the rocket league community should have seen this

Is it normal to have gotten emotional for a fictional (assuming) movie about Rokt Leeg? As a professional TV guy and editor I am blown away by this project and can say this had to have taken a lot of time and was extremely well executed! Nice one!

08:14 such a powerful moment had me close to tears on first time watching and now that I looked for the moment to write the comment I almost cried again. Bravo to this movie! The production quality is insane.

I don't think an animated film has ever hit my heart more than this one. This was amazing and it was just a game I love and enjoy. Thank you to everyone who worked on this and thank you for providing every single RL community with a heartwarming animation.

I've never been so emotional while watching this short film, the tears are coming by themselves this should be a trailer for rocket league.

I'm not sure if you will see this, but I heard you don't have free time anymore to make more films like this. That is unfortunate, because this quality work is to the level where you could get a job in animation, no questions asked. I understand life has its way of taking your time away from you, but this kind of stuff can change people's lives. It sounds funny because it is literally a video game which you turned into a short film, but it's the details, from buying tickets at the pier, to the POV shots, to the close ups with impeccable timing that drive this emotion home. It's a skill that very few people have mastered, but it seems you have got this down to a level 98% of filmmakers haven't yet. Now, I don't want to come off as another fan saying you need to make more videos, I have played music for nearly two decades. I once had dreams of being on stage and performing to many, many people. Although I did okay, life came in and took me on another journey. I can no longer do the things I once did, and I was NEVER as talented at my craft as you are at yours. I guess this is just my perspective on things and in no way am I telling you which road to go down, but you said this was a passion project. Life is all about passion, and life is short. I wish you all the best in whatever path you choose to go down in the future. Incredible video. Much love from Western New York from a fellow artist. ❤

Thanks so much! I study cinematography at uni, so definitely going to continue down that path, its just that I'm not sure whether I'll continue doing Rocket League related stuff, like part 3 or so. I love creating short films, or just anything art related and hoping to publish more in the future.

12:57 This shot it's perfect, get me goosebumps. You and everybody are amazing. This project is the reason why developers should care about their community and not treat them like a wallet, players really put a lot of themselves into games, and if the game is good enough they will make sure to reward the developer, there's no need for aggressive monetization.

The story, the cinematography, the music, and all the work that went behind making everything! damn, 11/10!

The fact that the eggs in the movie are eggs from rocket league cheering you up makes it 100 times better

May be silly to some but I speak for a lot of people who have put so much concentration, energy, and passion into this game. I started when I was 16. I am 25 now, guys. Time goes by so very fast, and I hardly have much time to even play anymore. But when you truly connect with somethin, you feel it. And a lot of us didnt find our competitive edge through playing kickball back in middle school or signing up for some college football program. No, we found it through the big RL. And can you even believe its been almost 10 years? Man.. I can't.

When my children grow up, i'm going to tell them that this was Fast and the Furious.

It’s unfortunate that so much of the player base for rocket league is alive and well and still loves this game but Epic is determined to run it into the ground. ggs boys

This movie was a MASTERRRRPIEECEEE. Everyone involved should be extremely proud. The realistic gameplay was a great touch. Ball-chasing is clearly prominent even at the Mechanical Institute of Trickshots lol. I couldn't decide if I should play rocket league or find a movie to watch, and now I feel like I did both. Honestly one of the most inspiring and heartfelt short movies as someone who grew up and played RL since 2016 it really makes you realise how simple but yet how far the game has come genuinely brought a tear to my eye the coaching part reminded me of when i told my friend to get the game and coached him. Amazing work man

This was so beautiful, my father wasn’t much of a sports guy when it came to playing and teaching me. That’s okay, however, what he did teach me over time throughout my childhood and adolescence was how I treated people and myself. It took me time to do the same for myself into adulthood but I did learn and I am happy with where I am now. He taught me integrity, dignity, respect, and honesty. I am so grateful that I can act on those qualities daily without much effort because he relentlessly taught me the value of those qualities that make me the person I am happy to be today. I love you dad, thank you. Also rocket league, you are one of my favorite games and I am sad to see the drop in care and quality as of late. But you’ll always have a special place in my heart! 💜
