This video took so much time and effort to make. Even though the project failed I've still decided to upload it. I will make a part 2 where it is working.

Oh and also, aside from shamelessly plugging my channel to you, I'm really impressed with how much time and effort you put into this. I lost count of all the crashes and repairs! It was really great to see that you didn't give up on the first problem. These sorts of projects are quite time-consuming and have a lot of things to go wrong, as you said in this video. I guess this makes the final result, or any results, much more worth while in the end! Nice one, and I'm looking forward to more and your channel growing :)

you could use a RC filter to switch on a relay (or transistor if you prefer solid state electronics) that shorts a small nichrome wire that is wrapped around the fuse. (thats how i did it, but i only ignited smoke bombs, no rockets, but the ignition is the same)

Estes model rocket catalog has electric rocket engine igniters. Those would be a sure fire thing, along with drastic weight loss with elimination of servo and switch.

For those types of fuses, split the fuse about 5 to 8 mm from the end and place a model rocked igniter inside the split, and use drops of candle wax to secure it...

I’m thinking about making one of these for my monster f18. But I was thinking. If you put a fpv camera in the nose of a rocket. Then feed that into a small computer chip, and using a thrust vectoring system, it could guide the missile. Using machine learning to let the computer know what an rc plane looks like in the air, you could do some cool missile fights.

Did you try placing the igniter inside the rocket's rear end? Adding a match seems like an additional step you do not need?? Maybe build your own rockets and use Potassium Nitrate and Sugar as the propellent. There are many KZread Videos on how to make this rocket fuel. You did a great job on this video. If you can use the same method of ignition as model rocket folks use I believe you got it.

I'm dropping local pollinator attractant wildflower seed spikes and some sunflowers too.( All this dougFir framing around me would go poof if I used incendiary toys. It's going to be pretty cool when my test range erupts in flowers.) That's a great make!

Put any fireworks in sunlight for a couple of hours before bursting them. Thats that we do in India before diwali Also, why are you making your planes so fragile everytime. Is the foam weak or is the plane heavy. I think the foam you are using is very brittle. Normally it should bend not crack so spectacularly.
