No, she’s not. Madea’s insane! Spare the rod, spoil the child does not means to spank your child in order for them to behave, it means if you don’t discipline and guide them, they they will continue to misbehave. The rod in the bible was used as a Shepherd’s rod to guide the sheep and not beat them. Nikki should have been grounded in this case. I don’t condone violence. I believe in positive reinforcements such as timeouts, groundings, going to bed early, writing sentences and essays, and giving out fines. Spankings are abuse period! It tends to lower the child’s self-esteem, teach them that violence is the answer to everything and breaks their spirit.
