Grady Martin did play on all the songs on the LP. The sound achieved by raising the polepiece of the low E until it was almost touching the string. This, a distorted low E but a clean high E. Vince of The Jime shows how the sound was created.

Yes, as I said. This is the most likely scenario for me too. However, since none of us was there, I didn't wanna close the door to Paul Burlison or Dorsey Burnette playing the second guitar on the recording.
Probably one of the most DECEPTIVELY simple solos in ALL of Rock N Roll to play! Many have tried, most have failed 😁. Great tutorial, Brother!!!

I didn't know the Yardbirds version, not even The Yardbirds to be honest :-D I looked them up now and decided that I didn't really miss anything. The Johnny Burnette version is so much better in my opinion.
