@@BamboozleHQ Great, look forward to more. 'll steadily go through the playlist of videos you already have, just looking at your Ring of Fire tutorial from July. Shame you're not based up more north or East Midlands, I do better with in person lessons . PS sounds a bit like perhaps you're originally from Yorkshire :)
Another great video. Your a very good teacher. Can you please do something from the Johnny Burnette Trio album. Any of them would be great but particularly liked the bass playing in "Your Undecided" Also any Charlie Feathers such as Stuttering Cindy or One Hand Loose.

Hey Tom, its a Strunal Bass customised in Finland by Huttula Customs. It's gorgeous!
What strings to you use? I use standard gauge weed whackers and find that the G and D strings are far too high tension to get a decent enough slap in between.

vintage bitch I’m on Rotosounds, I’ve tried quite a few different types but always come back to them. How high is your action? It might not be the strings that are the problem.
Hey, your playing and instruction are both excellent, thanks for sharing. I've got to say though, swing is not dotted - it's tied triplets. 1 and 2 tied together and 3 seperate. Der da Der da Der da

Hey, thanks Matt. Subtle difference but definitely see your point, thanks for sharing! I haven’t studied swing specifically, just learnt organically but studied classical piano as a kid. What you say makes perfect sense ☺️
what type of preamp do you use?

The Shadow Rockbilly Pro. I used to use the K&K, but prefer this
Do you play hillbilly slaps?

No, I’m a rotosound gal myself!
More playing and tabs on screen needed. Helps learning more by feel vs. the mathematics via traditional theory. Beautiful bass though.

Thanks for the feedback. I’m not a pro, I just enjoy making videos and sharing what I know. There are more learning materials available through my Patron account that go with each video, and they’re evolving all the time. I hope you at least enjoyed the video.

I enjoy seeing others simply making music, especially Rockabilly. I try not to criticise but maybe give helpful tips. Everyone learns differently. Your technique is very clean and even. Keep it up! The higher the hair, the closer to god.

@@BamboozleHQ This is so cool. No one ever corresponds. Like im chatting with a celeb. I've been in a psychobilly band little over a year, as well as other bands throughout the years. COVID has haulted gigs. But im breakin in my upright again. Tips for a more proper amp?? Using a Fender Rumble now.

Banshee.Productions _ no point doing videos if you’re not interested in the people watching them! I’m recording an amp review video today, should be up next week. I use Mark Bass, have tried others but I always go back, they’re awesome! What’s your band called? Lockdown has been awful for music!
Polite tip. Please start your videos by playing what you are going to teach. I flipped around the video and never found you playing the progression at speed.
