Rock Pea isn't terrible for me, but he's definitely the worst peashooter. I do feel like with a few tweaks, I feel like he'd be quite good. I would personally buff his health by 10 points at the bare minimum, and decrease his fire rate, but give him more damage to compensate. He spits out literal rocks. You'd expect them to have crazy strong impact damage.

I'm thinking about making custom variants and variant rework now, so I am gonna share a rock pea rework idea. So his rework would have 175 HP and a clip of 3, but the rocks would have a better splash radius and do tons of direct damage, but your reload and firing speed are both slow, so it would basically be a high hp tank commander for plants but I think it could work. If you need you could give more natural regen or hp to 200 if it's underpowered or maybe even reduce the speed penalty, but I would like to hear your thoughts.

The main issue with Rock Pea isn’t his lack of damage, slow fire rate, etc. No, it’s the fact that his projectiles arc based on what direction you’re moving (i.e. moving left the rock will curve left). He LITERALLY cannot shoot in a straight line.

Yeah that is a big issue of his. But he should actually hit more damage, like 40 for example. He really should hit more damage then reg pea, literally shooting rocks at you.

@@raxboi8529 I believe it was simply an oversight by the developers, as every character in the game has the “projectile deviation” value. Everyone except Painter and Rock Pea has their value set to 0 so theirs don’t curve.

@@djangel3108 yes, it makes it significantly harder to land direct hits when you’re strafing.

Rock Pea only has 25 more health because he doesn’t loose much speed compared to other armored characters. Also, Rock Pea has a pretty big splash. BUT his peas are, I think, weaker than the normal peashooter and also he has less ammo and his rate of fire is slower. I still think he isn’t that bad, but certainly not the best Peashooter. Rock pea used to have a STUN mechanic on enemy hit... with it gone and no buff to replace the nerf, he was left in a weak state.

the thing they don't tell you about rock pea is that it's not made out of rocks it's actually made out of shit, and the reason its damage is so bad is because it shoots shit.

Rock peak sound like a great idea but here's how I would do it Max hp:200 Close range damage:40 normally 45 critical hit Far away:30 normal 35 crit Reload speed: 2.3 seconds Here's where it gets interesting Gimmick: if your able to hit 5 critical hits you will get a mini buff a bit of extra damage and speed nothing much you can tell how many buffs you have by a little Idencator near the abilities this can stack 3 times (thanks for reading my ramble)

Rock pea is underated. He is a god in 1v1's you just need to learn how to use walls and have decent aim. And his extra health doesn't seem like much but it really does help in his 1v1's

@Star Power* in a close up situation I can a pea with decent splash (plasma pea or maybe fire pea) or a skill based burst damage peashooter. (law or agent pea) Rock pea is good, but outclassed in everything. A jack of all trades, master of none.

That's 25 extra health doesn't pass any damage thresholds, you still get 1 tapped by imp punts, ultra balls, zpg, ect

I recently mastered rock pea and I can say it was quite painful but not as painful as mastering armor chomper.

This is like the the one character where having a aim accuracy of less than 80% means u cant play the character

With a speed upgrade he'll walk at the speed of a regular peashooter and if you get the ammo upgrade you'll feel a little bit better about playing him and with his reload upgrade he reloads at the speeds a regular peashooter does with max reload upgrades he's literally just peashooter with more health
