Aty: A little boy otter who came to our house at the age of 9 months.
At first he couldn't even swim in the river, but now he loves the river more than anything else and swims in it all year round.
Whenever we go out, he always walks ahead of everyone, so he has come to be called “Captain Aty”.
Ui: A tomboy with comical movements.
Because of her ferocious nature, she had to go from one owner to another.
At first, she was so ferocious that Aty was too frightened to even touch her.
But Ui opened up to us and now she and Aty make out every day.
Aty and Ui have been issued a certificate of registration as an internationally rare wild animal and plant species.
Although Ui may appear calm today, she used to be so ferocious that people could not approach her.
After more than a year of being bitten, she finally came to live with us.
Otters are very intelligent and watch the people around them very carefully.
They will never open their hearts to you if you only have a superficial relationship with them.
They are also very active animals and require several hours of exercise per day.
They need to be walked outside or swam in the river for two to three hours every day.
The amount of exercise they get inside the house will never be enough to satisfy their needs.
Please do your research on otters before you think that “I want to keep one."
You need to think carefully about whether you can face them with your life.

Ui has come so far from how she used to be!!! Her transformation from angry and scared to relaxed and having fun truly warms the heart!!! She's at peace and Aty, Mr Cat and Otterman have shown how the power of love conquers all!! It's been a privilege to see such a transformation. Thank You Otterman!

The transformation truly has been amazing! The constant fear that lived in her eyes in gone. It broke my heart every time she would panic when Otterman would come by for a gentle pat but she would cower in fear out of ingrained habit. Constant love and consistent gentle behavior showed her a different life thankfully. She is not only living, she is thriving and utterly in love with Aty and he sees to be infatuated with her too finally! 😆 Little girl is loved be the whole of the internet now and OMG I love love love her little baby voice!!! 🥰🥰🥰

I live in a snow/ice belt area in the USA. The dangerous part about ice is if there are a few open ice holes or an animal falls through the ice they can drown if they get moved away from the open hole and can't find the opening again to get air. Where I live people are rescuing wild animals like deer and pets like dogs that fall through the ice. I know Otterman will keep a close watch on Aty and Ui and Mr Cat when there is ice ❤️🐾❤️🐾❤️🐾

That is some thick ice! Glad the otters had some fun, even if they couldn't swim.
Cold weather is easy to take when it's nice and sunny. 🌞 Aty likes to hide the pieces of ice - but that one big piece won't fit! Ui likes to munch on pieces of ice ... sweet girl, be careful you don't get brain freeze🤣. Mr. Cat keeps a close eye on the otters like a good security guard should! 😸 Thanks for sharing, Otterman.

So cute how Aty knows what's in the container and holds it, and so funny how Aty wants to hide the ice. Every time I see them get on the ice I think of it breaking beneath them and the kids falling into ice cold water...which would be a shock to a human body, but I guess it would not bother them.

This was fun to watch! That was some thick ice. Otterman proves his feet are made of impervious material that repeals the cold. I love Aty’s idea to hide the ice, it’ll be there when he looks for it again. Right?!😂 Ui-chan is so sweet eating the ice. When Otterman gave her a huge iceberg from the pool, she was happy to attempt to eat it. 😂 Love to the Otterman family!❤❤❤❤

Wow, I wasn't expecting the ice to that thick. Shoo it must have gotten cold during the night. It's 19° here tonight in my area of Virginia in the US, some places a lot colder. I suppose it's the cuteness of the otters faces maybe their hands, probably the innocence of them that's so adorable.

Ui's sounds are dainty, soft when she asks for food. 🥰 Hi Ui girl! 2:33 2:56 Frozen solid! Pretty thick, too! I just find Aty's reaction/body language so fascinating when Otterman finds him sneaking in ice. How he tries to hide ice, takes ice in his hands holds it away like little kids do when they want to keep something and then makes his "hmmmmmm" sound, squints his eyes as if to say, "noooo". Aty knows that Otterman knows he is doing something not good. Aty, I hope u know you're terrific. 😁 I LOL'ed at big slab of ice Otterman gave Ui. 😆

I just love Aty and Ui. It has been most heartwarming to watch Ui morph from a terrified, non trusting little lady to the comical loving and sassy otter. It took patience, persistence and love from her 'dad' and from Aty. Wonderful story.

PROTECT YOUR HOSES FROM ICE: I always drain water hoses before an overnight freeze, to protect them. Why & how ? Water expands almost 10% in vol when it freezes, which is why ice floats about 10% above (and 90% below) waterline, because it is proportionally less dense than liquid water. Ice is harder, yes, but its also slightly less dense. If that happens inside a plastic garden hose, or in a copper pipe, it can rupture and leak.

Wow ! how thick is that ice !! We don't really get that here in South Africa - not where I live. The coldest I've experienced was when I still lived in Johannesburg and one winter it got about -3 degrees (celsius). Its summer here now and where I live on the Eastern Cape Coast the general heat is between 26 and 36 deg celsius at the moment.
When I see them eating fish, I have to eat something right away too... it's stronger than me... 😁
