Yup. I can tell that Rock Bottom is based on the Mariana Trench, which has a lot of weird looking marine life, and I mean weird looking. 😳

Rock Bottom is underutilized in the 23 year totality of SpongeBob.

The “MY LEG!!!” Is basically Spongebob’s version of the Wilhelm Scream.

The Wilhelm Scream is actually used in the "Sportz?" episode in Season 10.

The buses trolling SpongeBob in Rock Bottom is still one of the funniest moments in the entire show.

I remember hearing somewhere that the bus driver the dropped SpongeBob and Patrick in Rock Bottom called the other bus drivers and told them not to let SpongeBob on, which honestly makes sense when you think about it

Rock Bottom is definitely a real episode if you ever find yourself in a strange & unfamiliar part of town. They really emphasize this with another language (the raspberries) and that Patrick can’t even tell the bathrooms apart

"'Rock Bottom' isn't you're averageeveryday episode. It's an... advanced episode." Jokes aside, it's got some of the most iconic gags and memes, and is itself one of the most iconic moments in the show. I love it so much.

You kinda feel bad for SpongeBob during the whole "Rock Bottom" episode. There's actually a theory that the reason why SpongeBob couldn't get back on a bus was that the Driver at the opening called the other employees not to pick him up because what he did with the balloon at the opening.

I really liked how creatively creepy Rock Bottom was. To me, it summed up what it would look like if someone entered an unknown town they didn’t know about at all, you never know what could happen or what it looks like. (Also, I don’t know why, but the vending machine scene in the Rock Bottom episode was hilarious. It’s like the bus immediately doesn’t want SpongeBob. 😅)

Sandy loves her home (Texas) so much that she is triggered and goes super tough farm girl every time someone disrespects it. That episode is always fun to watch, especially the chase sequence.😁

I live in a small village where the bus only stops once a hour, so if you miss it you have to wait (at least) 60 minutes for the next one. I’ve experienced it so many times that the bus just didn’t show up, but when I gave up waiting for it or got distracted or something, it suddenly arrived! And when I got back at the bus stop, the bus already left. Long story short: it kinda reminds me of the SpongeBob bus gag (even though it isn’t funny at all if it happens to you..)

Honestly sandy has no right to be mad about how spongebob and patrick made fun of texas cuz let's be honest, everything they said is true 😂😂😂

@firemiracle As a Texan I can confirm that those stereotypes are false, but I grew up with SpongeBob in my childhood so I'm fine with the jokes because they're lies anyhow.

"Rock Bottom"is one of my favourite episodes. The brick joke of the Angler Fish being able to talk without raspberries is hilarious. I actually believe buses work like that sometimes, not appearing until you're distracted or too far away to get on. XD Lol, Patrick getting yanked by the lasso and then flying back and exploding will always be funny.

I love how Nick predicted "oh don't have him read the compass!" when it came to Patrick lol

As someone who takes the bus daily every week for work i can relate a bit to The Rock bottom episodes. Some of the drivers have left me stranded for at least 35 minutes in pouring down rain and bad weather because they left early and the other time i got on the wrong bus just like Patrick and SpongeBob but that was because the bus numbers didn't come up right away and i didn't realize i stepped on the wrong one until it was to late the metro bus system. Lesson learned double check with the driver to make sure the bus your taking is actually the right one.

10/10 Episode 17: Aargh!/Rock Bottom Warning: Spoilers These episodes are pretty good, especially Rock Bottom. "Aargh!" SpongeBob, Patrick and Mr. Krabs look for the Flying Dutchman's buried treasure. This is a pretty funny episode. Some gags are laugh-out loud funny, including Patrick not reading a compass right and Mr. Krabs's map. 9.5/10 "Rock Bottom" SpongeBob and Patrick take the wrong bus home from an amusement park and end up in a mysterious city called Rock Bottom. This episode is extremely funny with all of SpongeBob's harebrained attempts to get back to Bikini Bottom not working at all. The Don't Run After A Bus gag is also hilarious. 10/10 Whole Episode: 9.75/10

Rock Bottom has always been one of my favorite episodes from Spongebob Squarepants, not only does the episode depict a very spooky and unique setting, but also because the humor in this episode is outstanding! P.S, love the reaction vid.
