Ah yes, the art of making small rocks out of big ones.

Last one looked like it misfired. Left more than half the holes unshot

I got a real blast out of that.... never underestimate the power of extremely hot expanding gas confined in solid rock. Job well done.

The ones at the ends of the patterns that didn't go off were probably not loaded.

lots of interesting effects there, am I right in thinking that where there is a large plume the charge has likely been slightly dislodged or uncovered by another charge so the direction of force comes up into the air instead of going down into rock?. Thanks for sharing

First and third blasts are terrible. Flyrock all over the show. 1. Dangerous 2. Not utilising all the power of the explosives efficiently

It means that the stemming used on top of the charge wasn't sufficient. The explosive force never goes down into the rock, it will always take the least resistive direction.

that last 1 was dangerous that road way way too close for an open explosion sending rock flying , demolision dave wouldnt have done it that way

@@hectorpascale1013Nope, the machine gun sounds are from the surface delay elements. Basically blasting caps that delay the detonation from the initiation point by rows of holes or even hole by hole.
