The actual live sound will always be more important than the livestream's sound, and they are two entirely separate mixes.

first act on stage: drop mic second act on stage: can't pick it up because of dead bird in sight

Seen them 2 times in Sweden, fantastic energy and a guaranteed epic show. Lots of norwegians to sing along to in the crowd as well ;)

Ich war da, war einigermaßen überrascht das nicht mehr gegangen ist, aber ich schätze dass liegt daran dass sie eher unbekannt sind und außerdem ziemlich früh am Tag spielen mussten.

A quickie for everyone asking why the vocals aren't very good. Most stuff mixed from the sound board sounds a little naff, especially metal/screamy/growlin kinda stuff. You tend to lose a fair amount of gain here n there to keep the source recording decent/usable. You can guarantee live this was absolutely kickin arse though. Hope they come to the UK soon.

I think it's more to do with FOH engineers getting paid decent money whereas the dude trying to mix the livestream is in a shitty truck backstage getting paid pennies or worse... for "experience". Trust me I've been that guy!

Geir Sunde You for sure know shit about big festival productions... you don't get to soundcheck, everything is on the run, the broadcasting, most of the times, has nothing to do with the live mix.
