You know a restaurant is going to be lit when it is spelt Spyce with a letter "y" instead of an "i". Spyce Restaurant in Boston lives up to that challenge by presenting the best meal you've ever had untouched by human hands.
Created in 2018 by a team of MIT grads, Spyce Restaurant is described as a culinary experience enhanced by technology. They're not joking about that either, as this robotic kitchen can produce a stunning 300 bowls or food per hour with little stress. In fact, they have gotten a lot of good press from the fact that their Infinite Kitchen performs tasks like
searing proteins, steaming grains, and measuring toppings to create delicious food in less than 3 minutes.
How does this work?
Well, they make use of a series of seven mechanical cooking woks in place of human chefs. These kitchen robots are designed to simultaneously prepare food in less than three minutes. The only time human hands will touch your meal is when the ingredients are getting prepared and during the garnishing of the meal to give it that 5-star restaurant look.
Eating at Spyce Restaurant can be a bit troubling if you aren't technologically savvy, as almost everything is done through technology including placing your order on a touch screen, and the clean up after the meal has been consumed.
The very best part of the restaurant is the auto-cleaning system that consumes 80 percent less water than the average dishwasher in the process, which is extremely kind to Mother Earth and the average meal starts at about 7.50 USD, which is extremely kind to my pockets.

That's more to do with the risks and leveraging with new businesses rather than the practicality of the automation. We'll see more automation in restaurants, the pandemic was just a time where restaurants without deep pockets simply went out of business, new investments will fill the market niches and scoop up their used equipment at a bargain.

The prepping might be at a factory plus there are also machines that chop. It's not like fast food restaurants chop their own French fries before frying and we do have frozen chopped vegetables. It's not as if those buns at Subway are delivered as flour, salt, water and yeast individually, the dough comes frozen already in the general shapes desired. Even restaurants only bake par baked bread where 89% of the baking was done at the factory and then shipped frozen. Most bakeries these days also just bake factory par baked breads.

My family run food business since my grandfather was young. The food industry is real tough, physically demanding on the body. My dad, uncles, aunts made lots of money but their bodies at old age have lots of health problem due to the prolong tiredness of their career - manual labour. I welcome these changes in technology that reduce the effort needed to whip up delicious meal. You will still need a chef to monitor and ensure the food output is still of decent quality. But you now need hire engineers instead of chef to maintain the equipment. I would say this setup would be suitable low cost but high demand for food. Otherwise, if i have to pay a premium for food, i would want a chef to cook it

You all will still pay the same but this time, it will directly go into their pockets benefiting them.
