Please note! You cannot extend beyond your frame perimeter in two different directions at the same time.

Yep! 3 day robot so we broke a few frame perimeter rules that are easier to fix with more time.

I believe there is actually an exception when the robot is fully within the alliance loading or community zones.

When in the community zone you can expand in multiple directions. Koolaid-man should be able to move the arm above the intake level and then close the intake to stay legal. Our drivers didn’t have much practice but with time you could handle everything manually. What could be a cool idea though if you have localization would be to add interlocks in code when you are in areas of the field that are limited to expansion in one direction so that the arm can’t move over the top of the robot until the intake is closed, and the intake can’t deploy with the arm extended on the other side
It’s great seeing how these work with the field and game elements. It’s everything I hoped to see in a 3 day build. I wasn’t hoping for a perfect solution, haha. This helps give me confidence in the direction to build out our teams ideas. Well done, thanks!
These are some really awesome robots. Love the one with the ingest.

Same meaning as intake
This is truly inspiring I am excited for the
what are people using for the Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) that is referenced in the charging balance base? I couldn't find a good clean reference for what material to use for that build... Nice demo!
Do you mind sharing CAD models?
Will you share the cad files?
Can someone tell me where can I get a cylinder CAD?
Thank you for doing this.. Get some sleep.
when the arm is vertical what is the full height? it looks like it extends over 6' 6"

Mentioned this in the video but the arm would need to retract to not cause a foul. As this is Ri3D it's not something we would correct but disclaimed to teams that they should consider this.

No, we only work on them for 3 days. The rest is up to you to extrapolate and create your own design and ideas with.
