Artist duo Rob and Nick Carter have been working with a team programmers to 'teach' a robotic arm to paint for the last four years. The latest progression in their work is to create a series of paintings that draw on inspiration from Botticelli's iconic 'Birth of Venus' from the 1480s and Andy Warhol's screenprints of the same subject from the 1980s. The result is a work that is painterly in execution, but with the visual qualities one would associate with a screenprint.
