Robot Dress Pack Simulation and Optimization

A case of actual robot motions from a problematic robot cell at a vehicle production factory.
The dress pack is exposed to a lot of tear and causes downtime in production. If being able simulate dress pack motions already at a planning stage, it would be easier to minimize dress pack stress. In this particular case the dress pack behavior was simulated on the specific robot path and then optimized on rotation of dress pack attachment (a.k.a the tennis racket or frying pan). The results were finding a tennis racket starting rotation that improved the minimum bending radius (a measure of stress on the dress pack) over the path by 57%.
