    The answer to the dimension hop after beatdown is in the manga. There are multiple times where Funny Valentine took heavy damage and is on the verge of either unconsciousness or death and he still can dimension hop. Like when he is about to be killed by the train after Diego Brando slit his throat and he dimension hops as soon as his hair gets between the train and the train tracks. But I agree. As much as I like it when games are consistent with the canon, dimension hop shouldn’t be a passive.
