The VR issue probably doesn't pertain directly to Oculus being installed. It likely detects the app running some tiny processes in the background, and roblox picks them up.

the vr error thing has actually been an issue where some software would cause roblox to crash randomly so if you had that software then the error is more of a warning instead of an actual error

So, I think what’s happening is that Oculus has background tasks that you need to close, since they run on startup sometimes. So Roblox might be like detecting it or smth.

I think they’re called like OSVR or something, and they have the meta icon instead of the oculus icon now.

It doesn't matter if you close out of all things VR related, there are background services running. For instance, if you have Meta Oculus, it'll have the oculus services running in the background and even that isn't safe.

4:55 the vr error comes up because if you go to settings in a roblox game, and scroll to the bottem, you will see "VR" and if you disable that, then rejoin/restart your roblox, you wont get that error message

For that error, most likely roblox is seeing oculus software or steamvr in the registry which would explain why the issue persists despite the applications being closed, i personally havent experienced it despite using steamvr with my headsets but it would make sense if that were the case

When the oculus app is opened, it starts something call the OVR Server which is used to do vr and it stays open even if you close the window so that is probably why people are getting the error

Oh, I was wondering why I kept getting that error whenever I joined Roblox.

I do have a little message to say in the comments, it is about the Roblox support having the age change category thing, I’m sure people have tried changing their age due to maybe putting wrong date of birth in their accounts when making them (or in settings) the funny thing is they can’t change your account age, like why? (You prob will provide your card details and think it will work) but no it does not, and I am one of these people that suffers from this, i have contacted Roblox Atleast 10 times of account age changing, but they have declined (always) even with private information details, and I’m honestly wondering, why does a change age category exist if you can’t change your age even, like what?

Well I almost got banned for “swearing” when I was trying to say an ore from the game the ore was “magmonium” so yeah it could have got me permanently banned from the game and banned for 7 days from Roblox. And I also hate KZread because it keeps taking down my comments even though they’re not that bad compared to others.

The VR roblox error is basic when u have the Oculus app not running it crashes ur game after an extended period. When it's running that period is extended. To fix it just un-install it. Ps this bug has been here since Roblox vr was added. last week or 2 weeks ago the error msg was added. it does crash ur game after 1 to 2 hours.
