The rabid rabbit boss fight was the most disappointing thing ever, especially when you consider the fact that they made an amazing boss fight the year prior in the 2013 egg hunt

10 years ago i remember starting roblox for the very first time and playing the egghunts confused me so i only could get 2-3 i was in 3rd grade at the time so i didnt really understand the event but i still greatly remember how fun it was to explore the map

egg hunt 2014 was the first egg hunt i participated in, so its quite a beloved memory for me, even if i barely remember anything from it.

I remember the time this event opened. I was playing on an Iphone 5, and sat up late to play it when it opened, but it was tricky because back then roblox would crash while playing a game inside roblox, but i did manage to get one of the sparkle time faberge and the fancy one. A great memory indeed but it's not the best egg hunt to be generous.

Roblox even commemorated that egg hunt by releasing one even worse nearly 10 years later!

What a time to be on Roblox during Egg Hunt 2014.

Man, I recall spending more time playing this event than playing the 2013 Egg Hunt event.

A great Egg Hunt, I am so glad I was able to play it, but I do wish they made other ones like this or even 2012/2013/2016 egg hunt.

Can you cover the super recent change to plugins? Just yesterday, roblox made buying plugins with USD the only option for paid plugins, with the minimum price being a full $5. Paid plugins were already pretty pricey, but one could reasonably make the robux back if they sold other items on the platform. Now, some plugins cost up to $30, and while the top plugin creators are praising the update, it locks nearly every developer under 18 out of reasonably getting any of the high end plugins. If I were to shell out $30 for moon animator 2, I wouldn’t be able to recuperate the cost even if I had a successful game, as developers under 18 can’t use devex. The update might allow programmers to profit from plugins more, but a huge majority of the roblox developer-base are locked out now.

as someone who was around for the 2014 egg hunt let me confirm this was THE buggiest hunt they’ve done, half the eggs you simply *could not* obtain for one reason or another for more than half the duration of the event; tons of good ideas and charm but damn it was rough lol it being VERY hard to get into a server with friends was also incredibly lame considering my favorite part of egg hunt 2013 was the sense of community and hunting with friends !!

Egg hunt 2014 is much like Deadly Premonition, you either absolutely despise it for all the technical problems it had, or you absolutley adored it with all your heart for all the amazing stuff it brought to the table.

i spent hours just waiting to load into the server and then keep resetting to try get out of spawn

also my favourite egg hunts were: 2017 and 2018. They were both in one game, and they had one story to follow off of. You got free egg prizes from the badges, you didn’t have to go to other games to get the eggs, you just had a game and a bunch of new worlds to explore, with different puzzles and more, and that’s the kind of egg hunts I like. My least favourite, was def 2019 and 2020. They both just were.. okay. Way too many games, but hey, they tried something, but, executed it horribly. I finished the 2020 one though, and the final prize was kinda cool tho.

10 years later, just as buggy.

2014 egg hunt is overhated Even theres so many bugs, multiple maps themed by era with storyline was cool. also most eggs are pretty good at design. and theres a cool stuff like crafting buff potions, unique ways to get an eggs, multiple fab eggs with randomly spawn and so on. messy terrain was a good attempt for future things. For sure, this one is much better than dev hunts and not gameplay not much worse than 2013 (except bugs)
