It cannot directly hurt or kill you, although that’s not the case with plants. And yes, that is one of the causes but volcanoes can cause it as well.

Well, the picture sketch showed in 0:43 is real and has a terrifying backstory, so let me tell you. So basically on the picture you see a man running into some fire, but it has a backstory, so there a fire in somewhere and the man thought It will be a good idea do run into the fire and post it on the internet but, when he went into the fire he did not return for a long time so his friends decided to check, what they found, was the man lying dead on the ground with no skin and his body completly burned in ashes.
