'Who needs wind??!' bro u can make super realistic games with wind, like u can make the terrain grass move without having to write 1500 lines of code 'Who cares about grass length customization...' yk some places have longer or shorter grass then others... 'Material generator is stupid, like we have texture generators...' unlike textures, if you have a game with future lighting then materials will have shadowed and lit parts from any source of light. 'Flexible GUI layouts?? Thats stupid.' flexible GUI layouts can lead to some good designs. 'Why are some of these beta, like just add them." Roblox wants to customize beta features before releasing them.

I can say that flexible GUI layouts are the best upcoming feature to me. Seriously, the stuff you'll be able to make is insane.

Ngl should probably leave the Beta Features to those who know what they are doing!

Studio Product person here… grass length editing was repeatedly asked for by numerous high profile creators last year. It definitely wasn’t somebody at Roblox thinking this is a ground breaking new feature. It’s in Beta because it is functional now but that team wants to make a nicer UI in the Terrain Editor. Hopefully that helps us seem a little less weird!

Still wondering when we're gonna see: - Emissive texture maps for PBR materials - Better Collision fidelity (still breaks with smooth curves, also casts massive shadow splotches across the mesh if it's a large one) - Multi material surface appearances on a single mesh (cutting it into more than one mesh for multiple materials just creates more mesh ID's for the client to load every time they join) I'd post this request in the forum, but it'd get taken down due to "Irrelevant Post"

so theres some beta features that roblox just simply... doesnt convert into a generic studio feature, its like creating a beta test for a game but never releasing the 'full' version and just letting it sit in the beta stage until you either return to it and release it like a year later, or you forget about it. both of these outcomes have been seen in beta features.

The grass length customization is HUGE for me. Idk why it wasn't there to begin with.

The aerodynamics is really good

1:15 the "Aerodynamics" feature will be used by scripts to control things like... idk, flying objects, for example, and better movement of grass (I consider it better than the default movement xD)

the beta features are "unstable" features by a team at Roblox that wants feedback before putting it into production. The grass length apparently has some issues reported by people on the devforum and that's where Roblox is really looking for the feedback on those beta features. So, I say it has merit.

this isn't even a scripting tutorial why is that in the description

The grass size is useful for games that use terrain and have decoration on but also have small animals in the game that would be covered bt said grass

question, for me no matter waht i do, material generator is grayed out... how do i fix that

i wonder if you've ever considered the fact that things are beta features because they are work in progresses and could change at any time. customized grass length could be really good for showcase games or otherwise games that need taller grass. they could be working on terrain editor features so that you can make certain grass patches longer than others. horrible new title, by the way. roblox does *not* consider these "advanced features," they're literally just features in development, thus *beta* features. literally none of the beta features that you said were stupid are stupid, you're just not competent enough to imagine how they can be utilized in the variety of games that are being worked on

A lot of people were mentioned as contributors in the Grass Length Customisation feature's DevForum announcement post, so I guess it's because they needed to change a lot of things with the engine to get it to work and need people to test it out so it doesn't release broken.

Very lazy video please learn what your talking about before putting out a video, The Live animation creator only needs a video to work and it can't be above 15 secs but it works really well. And "Who needs aerodynamics" Do you understand what aerodynamics is? You can make hyper realistic flight sims on roblox with the right aerodynamics. Grass length customization could come in handy as well. You really don't do the texture generator any justice at all. The material generator is HUGE using AI it can figure out what object its texturing e.g backpack and it will even model zippers and straps its really good. The video was short and lazy please try the stuff before calling it bad or pushing it aside. You sell products. You need to do research more.
