I think the reason might have been for performance? I mean in that level you’re gonna be running forward constantly, you’re likely never gonna see the entity chasing you, no need for a massive, high polygon entity that you’ll never see

I agree that the Titan Smiler has received a huge downgrade, but la kameola/deformed howler has received an even bigger downgrade in my opponion. Before the update, I whenever it started chasing me I would be screaming and I would jump from the chair, but now it is a lot slower, and it isn't scary anymore since you dont even have to run from it

As a apeirophobia beta tester i can tell that the level 1 which is the pool room the oldest version entity was just like a square and 4 legs,very simple😂😂😂

i miss when the backrooms were just an urban legend about an infinite and unescapable liminal space instead of a bunch of random sites with monsters in them, it would be ok to keep the levels and it's liminality but get rid off the horrible entities that just make the horror worse

It is raytracing, is not meant to be more realistic, Its made so the light effects are more realistic in the reflection and brightness. Roshade doesnt have a proper raytracing, Its shaders, so everything will be mirrored. You cant talk about RTX when Roshade is shitty comparated to proper RTX

Personally, I didn't like the update at all. Monster models and animations have become much worse. It's especially embarrassing for Smile. Not only has it become smaller, it also looks awkward now. Personally, I think that the update should be taken to hell.

i remember how me and my friends just gave up on aeirophobia because of the take-down causing us to restart the levels

Entities with upgrade: howler, starfish, skin stealer. Entities with no difference: dog, entities from 13 to 24 (not including DeHowler) levels, skin walker. Entities with massive downgrade: titan smiler - main entity for memes, DeHowler - before he was scary. Now this is wither flower on legs without ability to run💀

I remember the level 6 glitch that I always used to never get caught I used to hide I think it's patched now or not the glitch made the level like difficultly level 0
