This guy is one of the most naturally gifted players Ive ever seen! He couldve/shouldve been one of the goats, but his lack of discipline, commitment and his mind not being focused limited him to only being good and have a decent career. I actually miss him playing for Brasil, where it seems he always felt comfortable and really performed well.

No he is not. He did absolutely nothing in his career and he played for strong teams and great national team. His decision making was poor, he was doing unnecessary dribbles. His highlights are nice to watch but he didn't achieve 10% of what he could with his talent.

One of the best players I have ever seen play. On television that is. The stuff he be doing. Like that's a GOD given GIFT

Robinho is one of those players that I didn't appreciate enough when he played at the top level. I had the narrative in my mind that he was a typically overhyped Brazilian primadonna, but now looking back he was actually really good. Now with Neymar I'm not letting that happen and I fully enjoy watching him play. Don't care about all the critics that emphasize his behaviour on the pitch, I just see the 2nd best player in the world (behind only Messi) and an absolutely extraordinary talent. Great video about Robinho by the way. Title is right.

@Héctor Cadena que haga regates no quiere decir que sea un gran jugador, para mostrar regates hay otras disciplinas. El jugador de futsal Falcão tbn hacía grandes regates, pero en el fútbol no funcionaba. Robinho es un jugador muy habilidoso, pero no se lo puede mezclar con los jugadores que se menciona arriba. Nunca tuvo una actuación estelar con la selección brasilera y al menos yo no recuerdo ningún gol o jugada importante con la canarinha.

Robinho was/is very underrated. A great Player with awesome, unique skills and beautiful goals. For me, he fittet perfectly in that Real Madrid Team at that time. But sadly he wasn't that good all the time. Talent is not everything if you won't do the hard work or if you party a lot 🤷‍♂️

Sure Bentner would have led Brazil to beat Italy 3-0 and 2-0 in a spam of 3 months and winthe confederations cup. Bentner would also certainly have led La liga in assists the year Real won the title after 4 seasons. Get out of here, he certainly failed to live up to expectations, but in the 2000s Robinho was a very very good forward who also started for Brazil in a world cup and was really good for Real in his first 3 seasons. But he never really evolved from there and as his discipline and shape decreased he began to decline as a individual player way too soon. But let's not act as if he wasn't extremely good between 2004 and 2008 and also had some very good moments while not being the same player from 2009 to 2013

I loved watching him play in his heyday , he was quite something, I remember ZZ saying special things about him when her first arrived at RM. He got shut out by Cappello then he brought him back in and Robinho led them to the league title, amazing dribbling. Too bad his shot was not better and his health.

This style of play could work if he were a bit better at decision making and a little more objective. Unlike Ronaldinho Gaucho he didn't had the ability to set up right these crazy plays, neither he had the objectivity of Ronaldo. But he was still a great player, he just couldn't keep with the high expectations and had some bad lifestyle decisions. Just like Adriano, Pato, Ganso and many others.

In terms of pure technique, I would put him right next to r9. Although, r9 could combine his technique with incredible speed which made him a threat to everyone. - Robinho wasn´t quite there.

I agree 100%. R9 had everything. Two footed, fast, strong, dribbles and a venomous shot on either foot. I don’t think any other striker in history had all those things

CR is the better overall player in terms of longevity, trophies, success at different clubs, records etc...but I will say R9 was the deadlier dribbler. I know some people think Ronaldinho was better and to me he as more entertaining to watch...R9's dribbles were efficient and deadly because he could perform them at top speed with both feet. Fuck man!

@@valerioscharer4676 Yea...I could watch R9 attack all day. It's like art. It was surgical...precise with no wasted effort. As a Real Madrid fan I could never put anyone over CR7. He has brought too much trophies and glory to Madrid in just under 10 years.

My son is 3 years old, when he gets older I'll show him the football players I grew up watching #robiniho

No one does stepovers as good as Robinho did, it looks clunky when others do it but he does it so smoothly, he has a consistent rhythm with the stepovers.

Muitos jogadores sofrem desse mesmo problema. Adriano era outro. O cara vive na pobreza, quando começa a receber muito acaba perdendo o rumo. Muitos abdicam parte da infância e da educação pelo sonho e acabam não amadurecendo. Mas pelo menos eles saem dessa situação e ajudam a família e os amigos.
