That's what I was thinking!

It's really interesting how Alphys gets a heroic theme for her battle. Normally it would be a sad one, showing how she never stop feeling grief for her mistakes. Or in any case a false heroic one. Like Mettaton NEO. But this is a honest heroic theme. Like if Alphys was finally able to move forward from her mistakes and face reality head on. Even if its in the worst situation and the worst possible moment. She is giving the best she has. I would even compare it to one of those heroic anime soundtracks.

The thing is, she has gaster blasters, but in the betrayal ending, Sans is alive, which means you must have killed him before this boss.

The reason I consider Alphys as the most tragic character of Undertale is because she always makes it to the end. On most neutral runs it's implied that she killed herself... but the most tragic is the genocide run. One by one, she sees her friends getting killed, and she is the only one who can protect the last surviving monsters. Some would say that she's a coward for not fighting you... but she is quite the opposite. While the others atleast can put all the fear and hatred behind them, Alphys has to life trough it all, and why? Because she wants to protect the surviving remains of monsterkind.

What I would give if I could only comfort her...

This remix sounds not only like something from the original ost, making it nostalgic, but adding in details that makes it ten times better than an original. It's like how before you get to the boss of an area, you hear their theme either slowed down or with different instruments. For example, Waterfall and Spear of Justice. This song incorporates key aspects of Hotland (which includes the Core), Alyphs' feelings toward all the mistakes she has made, and so much more. Good job my guy.

You could, in fact, keep using the pie, and then Alphys would kill you for cheating, but that is not canon

Probable reasons for choosing certain leitmotifs in the song: Alphys: Well, this is her theme! What did you expect? Stronger Monsters: It tells how Alphys became stronger to overcome her fear and have the "Bravery" to stop you. She's Playing Piano/Heartache: It shows Alphys' "Heartache" after Undyne's death. She's Playing Piano is in there because it's played by Undyne. Another Medium: The exact place where the heroine of many sins and the reincarnation of the devil are fighting. Spear of Justice: Still lamenting Undyne. Amalgam: She created the Amalgamates and regrets the sin for even making them. His Theme: (Nearly broke my head on figuring this one out) Think. When His Theme played, you're saving Asriel. Alphys is saving whatever monsters are left. That, or her connection to turning Asriel into Flowey.

+Luke Neujahr I think he means mettatton.... If you didn't already know, mettatton was originally a ghost (HE is the cousin to napstablook) and alphy made a body for mettatton (Fun fact: Mettatton was a girl as a ghost, but was given a male robot body hence him being gay)

This comment hurts me.

This song is a very, very skilled piece by an artist who knows how to wield le motifs effectively. This piece is worth remembering, because it feels like Determination, and Hope. Because it uses le motifs, but not too much, and not completely audible. It can stand on its own even to someone who has never heard the songs it references, and keeps an even balance of soft and heavy notes and a good tempo. (Also check their other pieces, this is not the only good one. Just my favorite.)

The fact that this and Disbelief are like the two fanon songs that pretty much EVERYONE knows, to the point of them being referenced a ton in other fan songs, really says something about the quality on display. Ever since Shy Siesta’s lyrical cover of this track, 1:17 has always made me cry. I said, “help us!” I said, “someone save us!” Now there’s no one Cause of what I’ve done… This is not a cartoon. This is me facing you! And if I die, At least I’ll have tried…

This is in my opinion the most well crafted most realistic undertale fan song ever, so much so I know many people who thought it was real I I even doubted myself when I heard this. And this guy made it AT 12 SUBS. Absolute madlad

I'm still shocked that someone put this much effort into a 12 SUB SPECIAL incredible.

This music and the battle that goes with it have always struck a chord with me, even after all these years. The fact that Alphys, the outcast who battles depression and severe social anxiety, stands up to face you even though she is terrified, adds a quiet strength to her character that you don't really see in the game. Seeing that really meant a lot to middle school me in 2016, who shared the social anxiety and general awkwardness that Alphys also had. Looking back, I think that this is one of the things that helped give me the strength to step outside my comfort zone after my family moved to a different town, and meet new people and try new things. I usually don't leave comments like this on videos, but I decided that I wanted to share how much this music means to me. -College me 2023

Holy mother... I can imagine the like coolest fight and chase scene with this in my head!... 8l.... like... oh my goooosshhhjdkdwhefjewfhew;f 8C... so.... COOL.... oh my god this song like hypes me up so much!!! And all he cool little elements in it from different songs like heart ache and stuff fitting in there. Like see and I'm SUPER picky about remixes, and this one just like OH MY GOD!!! SO COOL!! HIFLWCHLHFEWL I love it! hands down one of the best Undertale remixes out there! :D

I see it as Alphys staring at the creen of Undyne vanishing and then carelessly dashing towards "Frisk" to get revenge as if she's saying "NOTHING ELSE MATTERS ANYMORE" and she just lost her everything from the demonic child-- meeting up and injecting herself with as much determination she can handle. She evolves and eventually melts and turns into dust.

'her theme.' !hello, alphys... *alphys is spooked, until she sees a spirit... !i see.. you have discovered the tapes. !do not fear. i am chara. !soul of higher determination. !i know where the other souls are... and where asriel's is. !we will help you. *after some confersation, alphys finds herself in a hidden room. *5 SOULS are enclosed in tubes. *and a monster's in enclosed in a sphere. * alphys frees the souls. *they start following her. excluding asriels, who stays close to chara. !follow the trail. *as alphys follows the trail, she comes to a halt. the ruins, here the human, frisk, fell down. *there are 7 graves, each with a different flower. *she reads a couple... *clover. yellow orchids for such a justified spirit. 20??-2014 *batty. lavender, for they almost percervere through the winter as well as you can. 20??-2015 *cody. God I can’t believe this is 8 years old. Actually it makes sense ig it’s nostalgic as fuck

its finally clicked to me why this song is so good compared to other fan songs!!! it follows tobys song making style. lietmotifs!!! the starting melody sounds like battle against a true hero’s motif (which is also used in power of neo) but with its own spin. from there, you have all sorts of them! stronger monsters, here we are, heartache, alphys, another medium/core, and finally ruins and his theme!! this is such an excellently crafted song, and, to me at least, is as timeless as undertales soundtrack :]

Out of all the fan themes I have heard, not only is this one of the best, but it is the only one that really nails that Undertale feel. The motifs, the soundfont, it all works *really* well.
