Robin Babies From Eggs to Flying
Үй жануарлары мен аңдар
This video follows a pair of robins as they lay eggs, the eggs hatch, and the parents bring the babies food, mostly insects and earthworms. Once the babies fledge they can't fly and the parents continue to feed them. After about two weeks they learn to fly and feed themselves.

@@excuseme1911 I love that video
A classic example of a parent. Finds food but doesn't eat it. Feeds her children and then eats their poop instead.
So helpful! Thank you for taking the time to make this!
They are beautiful birds and it is nice to see their intimate lives in the nest with their growing family.

And that wire surrounding the nest adds a nice touch don't you think. :)
Jeez that one baby got lucky to get that big worm

Wonderful job with this! Brings back memories of the 70’s when I was a kid there was a robins nest in an evergreen bush outside my bedroom window. I had a clear undetected view of it and I was amazed how the parents constantly fed the young all day! After that I was always looking for robins which had food in there mouths and spotted where they would go. I was able to view several other robins nests but none were more memorable than the family of robins at my bedroom window!

Your comments reminded me that, while staying at my grandmother's house in Iowa when I was a kid, there was a robin nest just outside my bedroom window. Thanks for prompting that memory. Haven't thought about that in decades.

There are lots of options. A phone would work, but you need a way to stabilize it.
Is it eating poop at @1:15?
Where to find robin's nests?

The one I filmed was in a coil of wire about the size of a wreath. Robins nest in most of mid to northern North America usually in a bush or a tree. If you see one carrying food in its mouth watch where it goes.

Sometimes. Sometimes she carries it away and drops it to keep the nest clean,
