Even in this old recording, she still sounds flawless. Terrific coloratura and ornamentation. Unlike many other coloratura sopranos today, she’s in great control of her voice and her high notes resonate, especially when she trills. Thanks so much for sharing!

the sharp clear staccato, I love it. sometimes singers have muddy staccato. Lovely. Like a bird.

Les oiseaux dan las charmille in 1950's it's still the best from then until now the song has no difference but the difference is the opera singer's style of vocalization on how they sung the song.

This is by far the best rendition of les oiseaux that I'm heard so far, been through at least a dozen, lol. When a culture is genuine, without any despiriting or contaminating influences, it really really shows. It's not a show, it's not a career, it's not entertainment, it's who these people really are.

Who played the role Hoffmann (the hot man with glasses) ? He was so hot. I searched and got a result with Richard Tucker. But he didn't seem to be like this hot man.

Hoffmann (the hot man with glasses) is just an actor. This is a TV program that only shows aria clips. Other characters do not need to find opera actors.

She’s supposed to be an automaton, this is not an aria that is supposed to be infused with deep emotional meaning. It’s written to show off.
