The best version ever! I never really liked this song, I always thought it was overplayed...until I heard Robert White sing it. His interpretation is so beautiful and sensitive, it completely changed it for me.

Absolutely beautiful. My dear Father sang this when I was a child. My third son is Daniel - aka Danny Boy. My Father sang this to him when he was a baby & child. He is 41 years young today. He remembers his Grandfather singing this to him. He says he can still hear him singing this song! How I wish I had recorded him. I love Robert White's tenor voice as he sings Danny Boy! Thank you.

Excellent, enjoyed this, thanks so much for posting. Any idea, what year this was? See on KZread Robert White in 1980/1981 in the Good Old Days with several Irish songs, for those who love Irish folksongs. They scored only 550 viewers so far and this Robert White contribution almost 18.400. Strange ! Was the entry or keyword Danny Boy and not Robert White ?? No doubt Robert White was an excellant ambassador for Ireland in the USA all those decades when he is active. Congratulations Robert!
