Muskan Pandit I have read the books. It’s still stupid. Just do distance education or homeschool. Boom, now they don’t have to be stuck in eternal hell where they might accidentally go off the rails and lose control if someone bleeds unexpectedly. Or possibly get found out due to the fact that they’re weird. Just because they go to school doesn’t mean that people find them normal: they don’t eat food or drink water; they don’t talk to anyone if they can help it; they’re super pale and their eyes are a unique colour (more observant people would notice that all of the ‘adopted’ kids have the same eye colour and that it changes from gold to black); they trigger fear responses; they all date each other which is *not* normal... Seriously, they’d be better off *not* going to regular high schools. And it wouldn’t be a waste of an eternal exist for them if they didn’t go to high school, because no matter what they look like (or how they act at times - looking at you Edward) they’re not teenagers. They’re decades/centuries old vampires that just had the misfortune of being turned on the cusp of adulthood. They can still respect Carlisle and help him out by not being too obvious without sacrificing their lives by repeating HIGH SCHOOL over and over - that’s not really a good life for them. Also, I know the situation is VERY different but Jane and Alec - despite being turned at 12-14 - act and are treated like adults and the millennia old vampires they are. Aro might be an evil, psychopathic dictator but he at least offers his subjects that level of respect. (So hypothetical here, if for whatever reason Jane and Alec defected and joined Carlisle’s coven should they then have to go to primary/middle school? Just because he wants to work at the hospital and thus wants the coven to “blend in”?)

I think there are other ways to desensitise them to the smell of blood (like experiments with bags of blood, or going to university, or working at whatever places that fit ect) and definitely better ways to let them feel human-like besides high school. Every now again if they want to sure, every time they move... nah mate. They were “teenagers” mostly in looks - the only one that actually acted that way was Edward and I reckon that was because he was doted on by Carlisle, never really told no which gave him a bit of an attitude, and too busy being all emo and angsty like a real human teenager to grow out of that phase. Telepathy and thinking he was damned didn’t help. And after everything he’s experienced for a century and a half I wouldn’t really call Jasper a “teenager” just because he was turned at 19. Being such a good soldier in the civil war to became a major even at that age shows maturity, then the southern vampire wars... brah, then making the conscious decision to change from a human diet to animal mostly because he can feel his victim’s emotions as they die. Jasper goes to high school again and again out of respect for Carlisle for showing him another way of living and feeding (Alice told him but she only knew because of her visions of the Cullens) and taking him into his coven. After all that I wouldn’t really call Jasper an actual “teenager”. And personally I think a high school is one of the least safe places for him - the empath with control issues in one of the places over run with pheromones, emotions and lowered inhibitions AND he would be dealing with his siblings’ thirst as well. I still think being at high school was stupid. It was just a contrived way for Bella and Edward to meet and continue to be around each other. But I respect that you feel differently :). So I’m just gonna stop here. Bye all.

Muskan Pandit yes, they have to look like a normal people, but why high school? If I remember correctly only Edward was 17, the rest of them were older. And can you really tell a difference between a 17 years old and 18 years old? No. So rest of them could go to college at least. Or find a job.
