In 1997 I remember my dad brought this cd home on saturday, put it in the player and had his last dance with my mom in the house before he died in a motorcycle accident on Sunday. I'm not here to seek sympathy or attention... Just showing why this song will forever be in my heart.

There is something dreamlike about some 90s music videos such as this one - I'm not saying other decades can't have that quality as well (I mean, I have often felt music videos look like they were inspired by dreams), but it would be awesome if this dreamlike quality would come back, if it hasn't already.

This track and others from Dreamland originally ripped from a CD my dad gave me in 1996 or 7, is still present on this very phone I am commenting , traversing through around 10-15 devices in the years between. There’s not been a month I’ve not listened to them. Nostalgia is a bitch, doesn’t wanna let you go.

When Robert Miles is played on the radio, it is almost invariably 'Children', which is an excellent record itself, but it nowhere near matches the hauntingly beautiful melancholy of 'One and One'. The melody, combined with the chilling purity of Naylor's voice, result in an absolute keyboard masterpiece that I could listen to being played on a loop and never get tired of.

Здрасти, вы знаете, я увидел этот клип примерно весной 1994 года, пришел со школы, перекусил, сделал немного уроков и включил телек, у нас был телеканал А) ТВК, он каждые четные 2 часа по 40 минут крутил эти клипы, в 12 часов дня я пришел со школы, все сделал, в начале третьего включил телек и сразу же показывали этого Роберта Майлза с этим клипом, он меня поразил, своим спокойным электронным ритмом, уже прошло столько лет, мне уже 42, сейчас 17 марта 2024 год и я его до сих пор смотрю и смотрю и мне нравиться, что он и на радио звучит и к людей с Ютуба Тоже звучит, они даже не знают, кто поет, его, им нравиться такое слушать!? Мне это очень нравиться, когда люди не забывают тех, кто играл доля них с телевизоров в начале 90- хх годов!

Первая исполнительница этой песни ваша соотечественница - Эдита Гурняк. Её версия не менее шедевральна. Она зазвучала на год ранее версии Роберта Майлза, но не стала столь популярной. Лично я услышал её версию раньше.

Всегда при прослушивании этого трека, мурашки по коже и невероятная ностальгия, уносящая куда в даль....
