If you knew Chile and its recent history, you would understand my answer and understand the similarities between Fico's assassination (attempt) and the murder of Allende, a legitimately elected president, who displeased the CIA and Kissinger by not going along with the mandatory political line imposed by what you call the West. A country is free to chose its leaders and sovereignly align with whomever it finds convenient. The moment when forces foreign to the country plot to assassinate a leader that does not adhere to the expectations those foreign forces represent, the country's sovereignty is destroyed, the people are frightened and the country is open to a political coup that will align it non-sovereignly to the doctrine that plotted the assassination. In other words, a country will align non-sovereignly as a result of a political coup. I am not sure what the BRICS have to do with the main point of this discussion that is about political assassination in order to obtain regime change.

Well, the neocons/neolibs have almost complete editorial control of wikipedia, so it's not surprising. E.g. see the nonsense pushed on there about George Galloway and Jeremy Corbyn, or how they push the imperial line (e.g. no skeptical articles cited about WMD claims for Iraq during the leadup to the war; those are only allowed to be added AFTER the war is over).

Alex, if I may: What happened to Fico was not a "tragedy," it was a crime. We use the word *tragedy* euphemistically, and it allows crimes to slide gently away from their full horror. Tragedies are not caused by any human actor; they're almost "acts of God" (another glib phrase). If we don't name evil for what it is, we can't properly see it, therefore can't competently fight it. The attack on Fico was a crime. The near-endorsement by the West's officialdom is obvious evil. Increasingly, they do the devil's work.

All mainstream media in Denmark is one giant information warfare psyop. We often talk about Russia and adversaries of the collective West being targeted for color revolutions, but the fact that is that this only because the rest of Europe has already successfully been fully infiltrated and infested with this hateful ideology. The reason why there's a war in Ukraine and not here is simply because there's an actual opposition to it there in the form of Russian-speakers in the east who fought back and also enlisted the help of Russia.

I spent a couple of years in Zilina in Slovakia around 2003. Beautiful place and the nicest people in the world, just as an aside.

The thing is that there is _nothing but_ gutter press in the UK these days. My wife looks at _the Daily Telegraph,_ which is supposed to be a quality broadsheet. I am constantly amazed at the total delusion, evil and idiocy in the articles she forwards to me, but she tells me that when she looks at the other British newspapers, they are even worse.
