Robert De Niro - Acting without speaking Mk. II
Ойындар
Without a word of dialogue you can see De Niro's character struggle with the decision to get out clean or seek vengeance upon the man who got his friends killed. Once the choice is made only calm, deadly purpose remains.

Michael Mann's iconic Heat
He had so much emotion in this scene.. he was free w a way out.. then rage and tension and not being able to live w himself if he didn’t get waingro revenge.. he felt he was running from waingro where it was waingro who actually should’ve been afraid.. waingro sold them out and killed Trejo on orders from van zandt… waingro in the hotel room under a false name… after killing waingro on his way back to Eadie he sees Pacino.. walks out on her less than 30 seconds flat. He was planning on being w her since he had said it doesn’t matter going anywhere if he’s gonna be alone.

The focus in his eyes, that hint of a smile which turns into anger and him changing his mind. He knew, if he can make it to the airport, he could be free and live happily with Eady, but then he realizes he won't be able to let Waingro continue his life. @@SuperCosty2010 Thief was a great movie. Manhunter was just ok and was remade way better as Red Dragon. However in the 90s he made some real masterpieces. The Last of the Mohicans, Heat and The Insider just to name a few. Also don’t get me started on directors like Nolan, who are jackasses in real life and can’t write dialogue, make characters seem real or even shoot a action scene. The only director I think may have the edge is Vince Gilligan however that is debatable in my mind

PURE MICHAEL MANN
One of the movies to set benchmark for how an action movie should be,excellent movie.
He broke his one rule and paid for it with his life. He could have got Nate to hire someone to cap him.
There is a similar scene in Once Upon A Time In Amerca, in which he is stirring a cup of tea but the camera is on his face, over which he has complete control of each and every muscle.
I love De Niro inspite of his nowadays starring in lower quality movies.
