This mini-documentary at least helped put some context around the situation. Bonny clearly was a sociopath Black Window, Blake knew it, and tried to put legal protections around himself prior to their marriage. Can't help but feel Blake was responsible--her death was too convenient. Should've just divorced her instead. Bonny married 10 times?? and how did her previous husbands who died and left her houses die? Wouldn't be surprised if Bonny had "assisted" prior husbands in dying and had plans to help Blake die prematurely as well, she seems like just that kind.

@@jdaniels1313 Good analogy, I don't know much about her, but seems like so many Ppl find the worst ones to engage with, like I said I loved him in that character, but watching interviews of him kind of turned me off about his personality.

Bunnie must have had a horrific childhood to become such a user. Did he do it? NO ONE KNOWS! No matter the opinions below~no one was there. No one witnessed the murder. So no one can condemn him. He absolutely did NOT do it. The fact that they threw him in jail w/o bail for a year is a disgrace. The man had NO--that is ABSOLUTELY NO gunpowder residue on his hands or clothing. The cops knew the very night this happened that he COULDN'T have done it. But it wasn't the first of the last time an LA prosecutor ruined an innocent man's life. Bunny was a freaking mess, and severe user of people. There were any number of her victims that were perfectly capable of offing her given the chance. The travesty of justice is that once exonerated, the police never re opened the case to find the real killer. They have no interest in doing so, as it proves they are incompetent in the first place. After the trial, Bobby did retract from a more social life, but did maintain a friendship with Shelly Winters, and attended gatherings at her home. More details about this can be learned on Jordan Lee’s youtube channel, Daze with Jordan the Lion. Shelly befriended the young Jordan soon after his arrival in LA, and gave him acting lessons and included him in her social gatherings at her home , including some where Bobby attended. Jordan tells the story of Bobby coming by such a party soon after his release, unsure if he would be welcome. Shelly welcomed him warmly.

What a wonderful response. You hit the nail on the head. Shelley was apparently quite the social norm buster. I enjoy her acting. She's a real "dame". Didn't take guff from anyone, man or woman.

It's not unusual for the police, and district attorney to call it quits after they lose a highly publicized case, plausible deniability is built into any other cases that follow.

I've always been a fan of this man-I learned a lot from your documentary, though! I loved him as Baretta, but my favorite appearances of his was on Johnny Carson-he was one of the first people to publicly admit to anxiety, and I guess that just kind of captured my imagination, LoL! It runs in my family, extensively, and I guess I just found it charming, in a way. I hope he gets all he wants; he's certainly been "through it", hasn't he? I think it would be an interesting story of how he managed to graduate high school despite all those things being against him. That's amazing!

In 1973, Robert Blake starred in a very good movie as a police office who rode a Harley Davidson motorcycle. I have this film which co-starred Billy Green Bush and Mitchell Ryan. The plot of this movie surrounds Blake's job as a cop who ties hippies to a murder in the Arizona desert. Check it out. And thanks, Jerry Skinner, for another well produced and hosted movie/TV personality. His tragic criminal and civil trials remind me of the O.J. murder case.

Sad today i switch on my TV within seconds presented with diversity, doubt we will ever see again in my lifetime entertainment as it was. in 1973 i had the foresight to obtain the very first School's Video recorder as Vhs Betamax did not yet exist,my machine only played for an hour before you changed the tape but it was full bandwidth picture quality was as original, look at the wealth of TV we had, people came to my house to watch as they could not understand how i had TV in the day time,in those days they showed a test card, you tend when i watch your wonderful video's to bring back these old memories that i had forgotten, thanks again Jerry.
