Robert Beltran (Chakotay) | Celebrating Aron Eisenberg | CNF #7
Ойын-сауық
This is a new video series (Captain Nog Forever) in which we are celebrating Aron Eisenberg - the memories, the stories, the acting roles, the lessons, the lives he's touched. We celebrate and remember everything that he meant to all of us, as well as the incredible things he accomplished in his 50 year journey.
Today, we are joined by Robert Beltran who was "Chakotay" on Star Trek: Voyager. He and Aron shared the A Story when Aron was in the Voyager episode, "Initiations."

Cirroc is so good at making sure both the viewers and his co-hosts are with him. He’s always checking and giving others and opportunity to take the spotlight
I loved this Robert is such a great guy and thank you gentlemen for doing this. We all need time and need help to heal our hearts for a loss of our brother Aron. LLAP, Much love.

I bet Beltran is retrospectively fond of his time on Voyager
Wow, hearing their voices just made me feel so sad. I wish they would never age. They are such a major part of our life as far as entertainment goes, and you feel like you are part of their family.
Commiserations. Nog standing up to Martok on the promenade was legendary and iconic to me.

And of course the scene with Sisko when he finally revealed why he wanted to join Star Fleet.
Cirroc's comment about how reality TV has damaged the craft of acting is spot on. Personally, I would prefer to watch more fiction than "reality".
Aron made essentially "comedy characters" emotional and intense in a way no other Ferenghi actor could. Even Armin.
Aaron was a special person...Great show...Love Robert Beltran wished we could have had a visual.
theres a lot life wisdom in these episodes..................... ps I like the techno bable .. Pss Robert Beltran, thank you for joining. Rest In Peace Aron Eisenberg.. you are forever missed.
This was a great episode. It was interesting hearing how Robert Beltran wished he was on the Deep Space Nine Show dealing more with character moments rather than Technobabble. I never thought of Deep Space Nine having less technobabble compared to the other series. I always imagined it being about equal.

Besides 1st season of DS9, voyager had 10 times the technobabble of DS9 and at least 2 times of TNG and the original series.

And 90% of DS9's techno babble was given to O'Brien, so after a while you just ignore it

They really wasted Robert on Voyager...
Chakotay on DS9 would have been some good episodes. Great Podcast!!!!
It is so damn funny hearing Cirroc try and do the technobabble thing, as I think about it, hes right Jake never really had to do that much.
I really like Robert Beltran as a person and an actor, but yeah its great you guys are still doing these and again, I hope you continue with the format after the various tributes to Aron. I feel like he would agree about continuing ;)
The 7th Rule significantly adds to my appreciation for and enjoyment of Star Trek. A big Thank You to the entire T7R team. The work you're putting in is paying off for us, fans! CNF! 🖖

Thank you so much, Travis!
Reminder set to watch this tonight. Just watched the Kar episode the other day and sobbed at the end. Really looking forward to hearing Robert's thoughts about Aron. Thank you again for celebrating his life like this. Such a wonderful thing to do..💗
Star Trek is life Godspeed Aron❤
I wish that we heard more about Robert Beltran talk more about the actors he would interact with and hearing how Voyager got the new stuff vs Deep Space Nine and Deep Space Nine getting the older stuff from The Next Generation was news to me.

I think those funny topics are discussed, here and there, in older episodes of T7R; sorry I can't point you to which ones. I agree with you, though; Robert Beltran was a great guest with more to tell! Hope to see him again on T7R.
What a nice man, Robert Beltran.
Chakotay was my favorite character on Voyager. Awesome you guys had Robert Beltran on. Thank you!!!
so beautiful!! such a wonderful way to remember aron!!! and when can we see cirroc and robert beltran perform together?!?! the 7th rule is the best!!!!
Armin and Aron were very close and it shows in this amazing episode of there podcast that was filmed for youtube. Citric, Ryan, Armin did such a great job reviewing episode #4
Wish we could see Robert but he sounds exactly the same as ever!
Thank's Robert. That was sweet of you! :)
Live long and prosper my friends
When you're talking about advanced people (mentality), I see that in so many ways when thinking about Aron. Many of the Trek universe characters seem to have this ability. It is like Robert said, being appreciative of where you are and what you are doing that matters. Staying humble is the true mark of an amazing person. Yes they might be famous yet they always remember where they came from and in turn they encourage others to keep trying to fulfill their own dreams and wishes. Love this continuation of honoring my hero Aron. 🖖
What a wonderful podcast. Thank you so much for sharing this.
Second Season, Second Episode of Voyager - "Initiations" was the title of the episode. I haven't seen this is a very long time, and as luck would have it, I'm re-watching the Voyager series on Netflix, and I'm just finishing up the first season, so I'm looking forward to re-watching the episode in a couple of hours from now! :) Great to hear your stories about Aron, his life and his craft, and it's also very good to hear from Cirroc Lofton and Robert Beltran on your podcast, Ryan! I'm really enjoying your Star Trek podcasts! Keep 'em coming, brother! LLAP, y'all...

I'd like to hear a quick thought about "Initiations" from you, after you watch it.
Another awesome episode!
You know I dont have to say it but I will,Great show as always guys
Reminder set!
In all fairness the Voyager techno babble did create a feeling of future, science and logic, while DS9’s heavy focus on religion made the escape from our present a bit harder at times. ;) So it had it’s function, eventhough they smeared it on a bit thick! If you TOTALLY removed it, I truely think it would hurt the atmos.
Thank you so much for doing this. Loved "Initiations" with the wonderful Aron and Robert in it. Loved that Robert did this. But why is there no video of him? The other actors had one.
Hail J'aal Kar-Dain! Kazon Ogla! :3
The 7th rule,this channel rules.
Wow, Robert wanted to be in DS9 instead of Voyager! That's was quite revelation.)

That doesn't surprise me that much... I kept hearing how Robert hated his time on Voyager... and DS9 has a reputation for being very character developed and driven, something he hoped for more on Voyager for his character especially.
Sorry, I couldn`t understand what Mr. Husk said about not getting a video of Robert Beltran (I´m German)
Hi *waves*
No video
You know... The producers of this show look/act a little too much like Weyoun for my taste.
