Rare scene of 1970s teen heart-throb Robby Benson getting a head shave during the movie "Death Be Not Proud." This was shot circa 1975 when Robby was about 18 or 19. This was an actual head shave, not special effects. In his next movie, Robby had to wear a wig because his hair had not grown back yet.

His head was shaved because he played a character who'd been diagnosed with a brain tumor, and he's being shaved for surgery.

+E. C. The tv movie is based on a book and is a true story ("Death Be Not Proud") It's about a teenager who has a brain tumor and had to have his head shaved for brain surgery. I think it's set in the 40's or 50's.
