I had the opportunity to see Robbie Williams live in Mexico City this 2023, the show was constructed song by song until eventually the moment for Angels to be performed came, I really never felt that strength and power in almost any performer before to move your feelings from silly laughing to the deepest sorrow in only one and a half hour. Angels has the power to heal any broken heart at the same time that you accept things as they are. One of the greatest songs never made and such a wonderful showman.

He didn't even write it. Ray Heffernan did. Look him up, they took his name off the writing credits and claimed it as their own. Williams and Chambers but no sign of Heffernan there. That's probably the reason you love this song, cause they had next to nothing to do with it!!!!!!

@@ennisimkins565 Wow. I never knew that. I am a fan of World Party, more specifically Karl Wallinger the main creative force of the band, and who wrote "She's the One", that Robbie also covered. But at least he credited Wallinger. It seems Robbie is more a song-appropriator than song-writer. Thanks for the info.

I fell in love with this song first back in the late 90's. I kept trying to hum the tune to my husband who LOVED all music and was my music encyclopedia. I am terrible and cannot carry a tune... so I was so happy when it came on the music system once while we were out shopping... I ran to find my husband.... grabbed him and put him under a speaker and said "THIS IS IT!!"...."Listen!!".... he laughed and said "Oh.. I love this song too... its NOTHING like what you kept humming to me!".... hahaha... I lost my sweet husband to cancer, but this song is still a happy memory for me. After I had him listen to it, he bought me the CD.

This was filmed on a beach near my home in north Devon UK! I used to go past this beach every day!! My first boyfriend was killed outside the big hotel that overlooks this beach on its entrance just out of shot! Hey Robbie ... geeze I hope you get this message. I was never a fan, and dont take that personally, says everything about me and not about you ... as it always does. I was away with the Angels let's say. Anyhoo, I just watched your doco and may I say how you have won me with your honesty, your self effacement, your transparency and your connection always, to the bigger picture whether you knew it or not. Now you do .! You staged your doco as the 'observer' from which we can all learn and are desperate for, beyond image with honesty and humility. This is the healing for us all ... not the celebrity more is more mask, but where we put ourselves with vulnerability and transparency into our work, and our world (which was both your gift and your curse coz you are that guy). Our moments of profound lostness, heartbreak, aloneness, pain and confusion, - where we 'hear' when we are hollow, those Angels loving us instead. So Robbie, you have set a standard in this doco for others to follow in the 'real', versus the 'robot' from which heals us all. Cheers and Big loves!

I was in hospital a couple of months ago on a ward upstairs after being resuscitated in a high dependency unit twice I was sobbing my heart out I just got this feeling my nana was with me and by my side Next thing I know the old man in the next room started playing this full volume on his radio and dancing with his walking stick I think our angels are all there when we need them most 🤞🙏🏼

I had to pick up my piss ass drunk husband up from a boys night out.. he was acting like a complete idiot in the car, I was ready to pull the car over and kick him out. This song came on the radio..I've never heard it before ..he started singing it, kissing my hand and telling me I'm his angel. He's never sang in front of me before but manged to belt out every word... I believe this song saved our married haha 😄
