Same Here Crazy Horse, I miss those days too! Recently bought a Vintage 1990 Kawasaki KX250. It makes you feel Forever Young riding it.

One thing I’ve learned is you never say “one more time” no matter how dialed in you are... that’s when shit always goes bad.

Will you people get it right? It is Evel Knievel not Evil ...... And I'm sorry Evel was throwing a Harley Davidson on his jumps just a few hundred pounds more than these custom motocross bikes . hell they have over a foot of travel on the springs Evel had 4 or 5 inches of travel. Big difference

Yep, which is why he broke nearly every bone in his body. Even with today's technology, these athletes have balls bigger than Vegas. Yes also paid well for the risk & our entertainment..

Every time Evel jumped a damn bus would pop up from nowhere and he'd crash into it! Everyone was on bus lookout here. LoL

Evils jumped Harleys which back then were real heavy and he didn't have any of the tools available today or even 15 20 years ago.

Would never happen. You’d have to flip so slow that it’d stop rotating and spotting your landing if you did somehow rotate it perfectly would be very difficult at that speed... just don’t think it’s feasible. I got flips dialed and I’d never try one past the 120ft freestyle ramp. Think the longest is at FITZLAND that Twitch did on the 160ft dirt hit over a step up.

Not withstanding what these guys do.... But Evel Knievel did all of his shit on a modified Harley XR750 and later an XL1000.... Just sayin'.... Can you say metal sled????

Beanie Oakley, Evel was a stick figure in flight. Painful to watch. He never figured out how to control the bike in the air, and he broke his entire body because of it. He was an insane alcoholic with a whiskey throttle approach to bike jumping.

That's apples to oranges, Evel was not getting even close to that distance. Evel was the pioneer the man the legend but you can't take away what these guys are doing now on these bikes.

Modern guys jump and land without drama. You watched Evel Kievel because you just knew he’d probably fall off and he did...regularly. I saw him fall off at Wembley Stadium way back in 1975, I think.

Whats also amazing is the height he achieved. Old school ramps were flat like a triangle, his ramps were curved and had alot of kick.

Geez his wife or whoever the blond woman is always looking like she wants to be interviewed. lol but no one wants to talk to her. If she ever does something amazing like fly over 300 feet on a bike, people will want to talk to her too.
