Amazing. This gets my passion rolling like thunder, the #Roban helicopter and that beautiful area (of which I’m currently planning to relocate to soon). It’s great that #motionRC visits there often, maybe I will get the chance to meet James. Maybe I’m silly, but it warms my heart.

These things scare the crap out of me, but in the hands of a capable pilot it looks great! I know if it were me flying that poor heli would end up in more pieces than the kit came with. Haha, nice flying!

@@MaxSupercars Thanks! That’s My favourite heli in real life 😊🚁 My baby is the T-Rex 450. Reason I asked is because I had a mild tail strike, really messed up my gears. Would you say a belt is more forgiving if this happens? Also, would belt vs TT affect autorotation? 👍🏻💫

@@nutleighgrove3658 Yes belt is more forgiving. Big 700 mm size 3D helis like SAB Kraken etc. use belts. But the big 700-800 mm size SCALE helis use TT. I love the Roban helis and I got 6 of them - 700 and 800 mm sizes. The basic of safe flying is to fly higher. You can easily safe the heli in dangerous situations...

@@MaxSupercars That’s awesome 🤩 Have to admit I’m a bit envious. Lol. The reason I went for the T-Rex is the quality and the torque in windy conditions, as opposed to stunts. There are some great Hughes and Bell kits for it too. Size seems to vary from one manufacturer to another, when you say 700mm, are you talking blade length?

@@nutleighgrove3658 Yeah, it's a aprox. blade length, although for ex. my 700 size Roban AH-1W Super Cobra got 750 mm blades. This big helis are very stable and fly smoother than smaller 450 sizes... 🙂 700 and 800 sizes are same class, because they got 165-180 cm long bodies. With the tip of the front blade they can reach 2 meters length and they weight 7-9 kgs what is a peanut for this great Roban mechanics... 🙂
