Sometimes yes it is necessary. There is good small talk and there is bad small talk. If you don’t share a couple common interests small talk just makes it more awkward than the silence does.

My dad doesn't have the use of his hands so I bought him one of those metal straws so he can carry it around with him. Some places don't have straws period so it tends to come in clutch.

I've started to go to a barbershop local to me. Always so cool and talk about sports and video games every time I come in. However, I totally get what Fruit is saying. Sometimes I'm coming in straight from work and will fall asleep if I close my eyes for 5 seconds.

just a PSA: hotel chains are getting on the timeshare scam, too. They offer you a low price, multi-day stay at a resort, but require you to sit in at a seminar about condos. You can choose your stay and location, but the meeting is mandatory. my two cents on Helldivers.. I think it needs a task system.
